MEDIA ACCREDITATION FORM - Toronto Comicon 2022

Thank you for your interest in Toronto Comicon. In line with Health & Safety protocols our show is going to look a little different this year.

This is an APPLICATION ONLY.

Accreditation application deadline: March 7, 2022

Your application will be reviewed and you will be notified of the status prior to the event. Priority will be given to applicants from media organizations with confirmed assignments and wide-spread distribution/audience.

IMPORTANT: Due to limited capacity, we will only consider a maximum of 2 individuals per outlet. Larger crews may be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

PLEASE NOTE: Filming panels in their entirety for commercial use is strictly prohibited. Video recordings of panels must only be for the purposes of b-roll and only 2 minutes of footage can be published.

*Documentary Film Crews
Applying documentary crews must be industry related and must also acquire prior permissions from any TORONTO COMICON participants you wish to film. Each applying member must submit the following verification materials:

- A scanned copy of the script, outline, treatment and/or webpage of proposed documentary. Please detail the specifics as to what you hope to record. Include crew size and list of equipment you are planning to use.

- Documentary crews will be able to submit a press application online but they will not be eligible for complimentary press badges. If approved, documentary crews will be given the option to purchase badges.

- Documentary crews that would like to videotape, film, and/or record any matter that will be used for commercial purposes (non-news) must first obtain written permission from FAN EXPO HQ.

Once we are closer to the show date we will notify accredited media of the possibility of facilitating a press day as well as which celebrity guests are available for onsite interviews. Our celebrity guests grant a very limited number of interviews; priority is given to media airing/running PRIOR to the end of show weekend.
ONSITE Interview Requests: Non-Celebrity Guests
Please let us know who you are interested in speaking with when you check in at the Press Office at the show and we will assist in facilitating your requests. Non-Celebrity Guests include include FAN EXPO HQ spokespeople, cosplayers and guests who fall in the comic book, anime, animation, gaming, voice actor, internet categories. Priority is given to media cover airing/printing PRIOR to the end of show weekend.
