This is a quick prequel to set up a new series, The Wilder Brothers, and what would appear to be the first relationship in that series. Six brothers recently out of the air force (with a secret for that reason) and finding their way in a new venture together. Checking out the possibility, two of the brothers attend a wedding and there one ends up in a dance with the wedding planner. Sparks fly but it isn’t meant to be!

A Night for us is prequel novella (Book #0.5) in the new The Wilder Brother series. This novella introduces us in more detail to the rest of the Wilder family (5 brothers), whom we first met in the Montgomery Ink: Fort Collins series. The characters in this series are Eliza’s brothers, from Inked Obsession, but you do not have to read that series first. The Wilder brothers are now out of the military and need to find their new purpose and new normal - whatever that may be. Eli has some ideas and hopes to encourage his brothers to join in. Eli is the oldest and is ready to take the lead to ensure he and his brothers find a new home and opportunity to thrive. We also meet Alexis, a wedding planner who seems to have some real chemistry (sparks fly) when they dance. I am excited to read their story and the journey that will bring them together in One Way Back to Me, coming later in Spring 2022. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.

"A Night for Us" is a quick, easy read as a prequel that will wet your appetite for the upcoming series about the Wilder Brothers, starting with the eldest, Eli. In typical form for Carrie Ann's character development, you begin to get a personal feel for Eli and the adventure he's about to lead his family on and leaves you counting down the days until "One Way Back to Me" comes out!!
