City of Destin to host annual Arbor Day celebration

DESTIN — The city of Destin's annual Arbor Day celebration is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, April 29, at Kell-Aire Gardens, 810 Kell-Aire Court. ,

It will include remarks from Mayor Gary Jarvis. Members of the Destin City Council, the Destin Parks and Recreation Committee and students from Destin Elementary School will participate in the tree dedication.

Participants plant a tree during the 2021 Arbor Day celebration in Destin. This year's celebration is scheduled for Friday, April 29, at Kell-Aire Gardens.

Destin also has been named a Tree City USA community by The National Arbor Day Foundation to honor its commitment to urban forestry. This is the 20th year Destin has received this national recognition.
