Sweden and UK sign mutual aid agreement that promises military support

  • Britain and Sweden signed an agreement on Wednesday that pledges to defend each other should one of them come under attack and asked for help.

  • The two countries' premiers said the declaration of solidarity will stand regardless of if Sweden decides to join NATO or not.

  • "If either country should suffer a disaster or an attack, the UK and Sweden will assist each other in a variety of ways," said Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson.
