Blackbird, Square Peg team up on first seed deal since Canva

For the first time since Canva, two of the country’s biggest venture capital funds – Blackbird Ventures and Square Peg Capital – have co-invested in a seed stage funding deal, cutting a $5 million cheque for digital business card start-up Blinq.

The business, which is more mature than most start-ups raising seed rounds, was founded in 2017. It creates a live profile that replaces business cards and can be shared with anyone via a QR code, NFC (near-field communication) card, web link, email signature or even video call background.
