PROMOTING INDIGENOUS MUSIC
Queen's BioSciences Building (room 1102), 116 Barrie St, (also on Zoom)
1pm start
Free

This "fireside chat hybrid session" (meaning what you see on screen will be happening in-person) will feature a moderated in-conversation with special guest Anachnid! Most noted for her Polaris Prize nomination and Felix Award for Indigenous Artist of the Year at the 43rd Félix Awards in 2021, Montreal's Oji-Cree artist, Arachnid, will chat with moderator Cassidy Villebrun-Buracas (from Victoria Campus & Community Radio). The in-depth discussion will explore the possibilities of Indigenous music, and the role that radio, programmers, and venues can play in increasing the discoverability and accessibility of Indigenous musicians and artists.

Presented in partnership with our friends at CFRC 101.9 and the National Campus Radio Association (NCRA)
