Robo vacuum gets the job done
This is our first robot vacuum so I don't have anything to compare it to other than what friends have said about theirs.I got this on sale for around $150. Definitely worth the price in my opinion, our floors are cleaner now! This is the Q5Pro (Q5ULE) model. This one has the features of vacuum, mop, map(with split and merge options), zones, spot clean, joystick/remote controls, no go zones, and scheduling.Wifi setup took a couple tries. But I think that shouldn't be a problem for a lot of people. It worked fine after I turned off the VPN on my router so something was being blocked there. It was easy to follow the quick start instructions that came in the box and the directions were accurate. The app (I have android) is pretty simple and easy to use. I put it on my kid's phone also so they can use it as needed. Used the same login as my own and it logged me out on my phone, but once I logged back in was able to have it logged in on two devices with no issues. It will ping you when a scheduled task is completed and if it was able to complete it or ran into issues. The history feature is nice as you can see a track of where it went. It shows yellow icon in the history if there was an issue like couldn't reach a room or something else.I told it to spot clean but it wasn't cleaning well, so I turned it over and found a twist tie in the rollers. Got that out and it did fine after that. There is a page in the app that tracks how long till expected maintenance for the the rollers, brushes, and sensors. We have two dogs and two people with long hair so we'll have to use a seam ripper regularly to get hair off the roller ends to keep that from accumulating. It's easy to get things out of the rollers, and put them back in. You can't put them in wrong as the black and red have different shapes on the ends. The rectangle roller cover is slightly difficult to put back on, you have to hold the spring clips open so it goes back on.Suction seems to be powerful and there are different suction settings in the app as well. It doesn't always get everything but love that it vacuums better than the job the humans were doing most of the time. Mainly has missed some larger lightweight crumbs that got flung by the arm brush and didn't get everything by the edge of the area rug on the 1 pass setting. We had party confetti of the foil variety and it got some of that up but didn't get all of it.The charging dock is just too tall (3 7/8 inches) to go under our sofa so we'll have to figure out a good place to 'hid' the dock. The vacuum itself is about 3 1/2 inches tall in including the round port that sticks up on top. (The round port is for suction I believe, it's not sensors)It finds the dock fine, hasn't gotten lost even when moved during cleaning. Charging is good and the app lets you sent peak/off peak charging times so it will keep it alive during the day but fully charge at night when power costs less.Overall seems like a great vacuum. It already (less than a weekof ownership) has scuffs on the outside from rubbing on things but I have kids and they constantly move chairs, etc so it has to relearn things all the time. It is impressive in that it will lightly bump/brush but even in joystick mode it won't let you ram into things, it slows itself down before it touches anything.I haven't tried out the mopping pad yet, it comes with a pad, water tank, and a plastic floor protector to put under the dock to keep damp off the floor until you take the mop pad off. I'm not thinking it will be super impressive as it's just going to drag a wet cloth around but I may be wrong. Will update when I've tested.Time will tell how sturdy and robust it is but it seems to be good so far!

First, I'm a VERY critical consumer. I've owned four other robotic vacuums. This is the best in almost every way. The only weakness is the mopping mode. It has a small reservoir and requires soaking the pad. If mopping is a priority to a customer, I wouldn't purchase this. But, when it comes to cleaning and not getting lost, it's the best. I can tell that it is very smart. I've closed doors so it's gotten stuck and I've put it down in a different part of the house, and after spinning around and moving a few feet here and there, it seems to figure out where it is and finds its way home. Our house is very spread out and it has no problem finding its way to the farthest room. The software is easy to use. It is very easy to select one or multiple rooms for cleaning. It is very powerful and actually went under our recliner which has about a 3/4" metal bar. It was very easy to zoom in and create no-go zones which I made where we had extension cords or USB cables under furniture. If you don't, as I hadn't to begin with, it will get caught up in them. I've had it less than a year so I can't speak of longevity. I always read negative reviews prior to making a purchase and look for consistency. I didn't find that nor did I have any issue with anything that was complained about. I like this so much, that we gifted a more expensive almost new vacuum that had some issues with noise on a hard floor and not being smart and bought a second Roborock.

I'm nervous about writing this review. We had another robot vacuum (starts with an sh and ends with ark) that I absolutely loved, but once it hit that year mark when the item would no longer be covered under warranty, it quit working. I tried everything. All the tips and tricks I could find. Nothing worked. It was nothing more than a large paperweight, sitting in our dining room. Side note: Companies need to give an option for turning off cliff sensors. Not everyone needs them. Anyway, I contemplated not even getting another one, but we have an Anatolian Shepherd/Hound mix and he sheds like I've never seen a dog shed. I could sweep and sweep and sweep. All he has to do is move ever so slightly and it's raining hair. Having a robot vacuum really helps keep up with it all. I started researching and this brand came out on top. I took a deep breath and ordered.

It arrived quickly and packaged well. When I say well, I mean it. I think, in total, it was 3 different boxes I had to open to finally see, what I hoped to be, a long term cleaning buddy. Once I got it removed from its container, I found it a home. I downloaded the app, paired to wifi, got everything set up and connected it to our Alexa. It was simple and flawless. I then let it do its mapping. We are only using it on the main floor so it won't be used elsewhere as the only other area is a basement (underground) and it's not finished. I figured it was going to take a while so I headed downstairs to start some laundry and put some stuff away. Imagine my surprise when my Apple Watch alerted me to the fact that 15 minutes in, it was done. What?? My last one took almost 2 hours to map the 970 square feet that is our main living area. I went back upstairs and stared at it, baffled. Looking at my phone with the open app, I set up a schedule for cleaning and went about the rest of my day.

That evening (I have it set up for 5:30pm) I heard a strange voice and almost jumped out of my chair. Our dog barked, the cats scattered. Feeling panicked because I am home alone at the moment, I clutched my chest and peered around the corner. It was just the vacuum telling me it was starting to clean. I let out a breath. I hadn't expected that. My last one only talked when she was telling me why she couldn't vacuum, which in the end, was every time she turned on. I watched carefully. It went around the outer edge of the entire house, hitting every room, then came back and went back and forth until it was satisfied it had covered every spot. Then it told me it was done and was going back home. Huh.

After using it for a few days, I checked the bag. Wow! It definitely picked up more than our last one did. I could have made a whole new dog with what was in there. I don't love that it isn't bagless though but I can deal with that. The app is easy to use but unlike our last one, you can't name the cleaner. Gimmicky, but I kinda liked being able to do that. Not a huge deal because cleaning wise, it's amazing. I still can't get over how much hair it picked up. I showed my husband and he was impressed. Well, after first wondering why I was showing him a pile of our dogs hair.

It's pretty quiet when vacuuming but when it empties, you can definitely hear it. That doesn't last long though so not something that bothers anyone. I guess it also mops but I honestly have zero intention of using that. We only have one area in our house that has waterproof flooring so I prefer to do that myself. I get why this brand is highly rated. I love it already but because my heart was broken by another, I'm still feeling nervous. I can't help it. The last one let me down and I'm really hoping for longevity this time around. My fingers are crossed.....

I'm a late adopter of robot vacuums. I had reservations. I picked this one up on a recommendation from a friend. I have a small dog that doesn't notably shed, a snort haired cat that sheds a little and a long haired cat that sheds like a cat sheds.

    Pros :
    * It does great picking up pet hair. Better than my Dyson, even, which is a high bar.
    * It has the right options for scheduling and customizing a clean.
    * Initial mapping is easy with one caveat below. It doesn't get easily stuck.
    * with an appropriate schedule and the maintenance below, it does a great job of keeping the floors clean.
    * I didn't get the auto empty model. With all the animals, emptying it once a week is enough and it's super easy and quick.

    Cons :
    * Weekly, I turn it upside down, take it apart, remove all the hair from moving parts, wipe the sensors and empty it. Everything snaps apart and together easily and it takes less than 10 minutes but that is way more often than I expected. That is because 1) If there is hair, it will get wrapped around something. There are two main 'brushes', a front wheel and a side brush that are all candidates for getting tangled up in hair. That is way more than the 'never' of my Dyson. 2) the sensors get dusty way more frequently than the recommended interval. 3) the app doesn't report if it's gotten clogged up by sucking up something it shouldn't have (like a cat toy) and sometimes I don't see that until I flip it over.
    * If you need to map a new area that is part of an existing map but was closed off during mapping, it's a bit clunky. You have to manual control the robot there so the space is recognized - but it still won't see it as a 'room'. So then edit the map to make it an off limits area, save, then edit again to remove the off limits area and then it sees a room and you can name it and use it).
    * It does not do well with clay litter on hard floors.. it just kicks it around. It does fine with litter on carpets or bare floors in general.
    * the Q5 alexa integration does not do everything it says in this listing. You can turn it on and off with alexa - that's it. You can't vacuum a specific room or run a routine through alexa. All of that functionality is reserved for later models.

I need to check on it and maintain it a little more frequently than I thought and I can't automate it as well as I hoped but overall, I'm glad I bought it. With all of that, it still keeps the floors cleaner than if I have to pull out the vacuum and do it myself.

What I love most is it almost never gets stuck and I don't have to remember to empty the container. for a while. Does well with hair and cleaning hair out of rollers takes 2 minutes, great design. Does a whole floor of 1300 sq ft with 65% battery left.

Programming is almost very good, with a few minor tricky things, but generally very intuitive. Suction is adequate to all surfaces, not too loud but loud enough that it's hard to watch TV with it around. Does a really good job with minor omissions sometimes, cleaned 100% if I ran it twice, especially if there was a lot of dirt on the floor. Didn't try the mop as it's basically dragging a wet sponge, I'd get the rotating mops in that case for better efficiency

It would probably not pass the dog-poo test, but I don't run it unattended

This robo vacuum cleaner is so great. We live in a smaller condo with one cat. Cleaning hair and litter after cat took too much time, and I decided to give a try for a robot vacuum cleaner. I’ve never had this kind of tech before, and was amazed by how well it works.

Setup was easy and user friendly, application is one of the best I’ve ever seen. Very easy to use, has a maintenance information, map of your apartment. It also lets you to create a no-go zones, map furniture etc. Also, you can choose which zone you want to clean (for example, from time to time I need to clean washrooms and half of the hall way after cat).

It has a mop that maybe is not great for a deep cleaning, but doing a great job with some light cleaning.

It doesn’t have a self cleaning option, but I don’t really need it.

Overall, in my small apartment it works perfect. Very happy with this purchase
