Best Thing Since Sliced Bread
My experience with the purchase of the new Dyad automatic floor mop by Roborock. I was a little apprehensive on the purchase but that soon passed away upon arrival of the device. It arrived in a well packaged box that prevented any damage while in shipment. Assembly was quite easy, I only had to slip the handle on and place the clean and dirty water tanks in position. I also had to find a place for the charging dock and plug it in. An extra filter and cleaning brush were also in the box. I was ready to mop in less than 15 minutes from arrival. The clean water tank was easy to remove and fill by flipping it upside down and opening the flip style closure. I also purchased the Roborock cleaning solution which I added to the tank (1/3 cup per liter of water). I was ready to mop. Upon turning the unit on I discovered it talked to you just like my Roborock vacuum. It tells you when the tanks are empty and what power level you are using and things such as that. I was off to the races, initially I started mopping as if with a old style mop and suddenly realized that was not required. The mop does all the work you only have to guide it the way you want to go. It pretty much pulls itself across the floor with the power rollers. It is very easy to control and has 180 degree turning. It also hugs the corners tight so you have edge to edge cleaning. That means it will get right up to the baseboards without over mopping onto the baseboard and wall like a normal mop does. It weighs around 6 pounds, so is very easy to pick up and mop in corners that are blocked by furniture or other obstacles. Dumping the dirty water tank is very easy also. You merely depress the switch and pull out from the unit. You then pull the top piece straight up which contains a little basket at the bottom that catches all the larger debris that is vacuumed up with the mop. Did I say vacuum? Yes, the unit also vacuums as it mops, how convenient. No longer do you have to vacuum before you mop. What a time saver! Anyway, just dump the basket into the trash and the water wherever you would like the sink, toilet, or outside. Rinse and put back together and on the unit. Ready to go for another round. I was able to mop my entire downstairs floors on one charge and still had 35% power left. The feature I like the most is the self cleaning of the rollers when you put the unit back on the charger stand. It cleans the rollers up nice and clean and is ready to use again. No mops to wring or mop heads to launder or throw away. I love this new gadget and would highly recommend to anyone in purchasing it. It is a great companion tool to back up the Roborock vacuum. With both appliances your floors will be squeaky clean all the time.

    ==== Update March 29, 2024 ===
    I had been seeing error E5 (or is it 53?) once in a while but restarting the device or running the self clean usually helped. Well, today it finally broke down entirely. I see error E5 5 sec after I start. And I see a lot of water leak in those 5 sec. Running the self clean does not help. I loved it when it worked for 20 months. But I honestly expected it to work for at least 2-3 years, so I'm very disappointed with it.

    I did reach out to customer support and they estimate the repair cost will be around $100. But I need to pay for shipping and I can imagine that costing about $100 at the very least since dyad is pretty heavy. In hindsight I should have gone with Tineco which has a 2 year warranty. I don't think I'll get my Dyad repaired. I don't trust it to last even if gets repaired. Reading reviews even their latest Dyad Pro runs into the same issues. I trusted Roborock because I have their robo vaccuum cleaner for 5+ years. I think they still make the best dry vaccuum but you can't trust Dyad with a wet vaccuum.

    I hate this this will end up in a landfill. I DO NOT recommend Dyad to anyone.

    ===UPDATE 11/16/2022===
    I've used the cleaner for a few months now it definitely cleans a lot better with it than without. So con#1 still persists but con#4 is gone using the cleaner.

    Updated final verdict: I'll leave my rating at 4 stars and I can say I am very happy with my purchase.

    ==== Original Review ====
    I usually don't write reviews but I'll make an exception for this because a lot of folks run into the issue where it doesn't recognize water in the tank. I ran into the same issue and someone else's review helped, so here goes.

    Here is how the machine behaves right out the box: You fill it with tap water, press the clean button, it starts up but stops in a few seconds saying you need to fill the clean water tank. What I did was that I kept pressing the clean button and moving the machine. The voice of it announcing that there is no water is super annoying but keep at it. I also replaced the tap water with warm tap water and added a bit of salt to it and shook it so it dissolves. I also kept pressing the clean function (even though it stops after a few seconds). After this, I again took it off the stand and kept pushing it around to and constantly pressed the clean button. And finally it worked!

    Here are some pros/cons of this vacuum.

    Cons:
    1. Tap water leaves streaks. Apparently using their recommended cleaning solution helps but it is out of stock, so I can't comment on it.
    2. While it doesn't leave a lot of water on the floor, it does leave enough that it takes 5-1o min for it to dry. I was expecting it to suck a lot more of the water so it dries almost immediately but it doesn't.
    3. Getting it to start recognizing water is a pain but once it doesn't, you won't run into this issue again.
    4. When I used tap water without cleaning solution, my house started to smell of wetness which was very odd. I'll try to remove the roller and let it dry completely and see if that helps.
    5. Self cleaning: This works pretty good except it started to generate a lot of froth only on one side and the froth started dripping on to the floor! I expected it to stay within the cleaning base/tray.
    6. IDK if this is just me but when I move the vacuum forward, it goes straight but when I pull it back, it doesn't and kind of goes in a "S" manner. And this also makes the streaks more visible. May be they should have made the ball which lets you change its direction a little less loose?
    7. To turn off voice alerts, the manual says press and hold for 3 sec both the mode and the clean buttons. I've tried this several times but it doesn't turn off. I want to do this because the alerts are excessively loud.
    8. There are no sensors connecting to the clean/dirty water tanks. Due to this, even after you have removed them, the vacuum continues to send out voice alerts to refill the clean water tank / empty the dirty water tank. My super old Roborock s5 max has a sensor when I remove the dustbin but Dyad doesn't have a similar sensor.

    Pros:
    Though I've listed so many cons, I honestly feel the entire unit is very well built and functions so well and that is the biggest pro. I don't think any other product will give you this much value for money. The Tineco Floor One S5 is probably the closest one but that has edge cleaning only one one side AND it doesn't have 3 cleaning rollers which self clean! I think Dyad is better for sure.

    Also, their cleaning solution seems expensive at $17 but you need to dilute it at 1:300 ratio. Dyad has a clean water tank of capacity 850ml which means you need to use about 3ml cleaning solution for 850ml of water! This would last you a very long time!

    FInal verdict:
    I'm waiting for the floor cleaner to be back in stock to add my final verdict but I think I'll give this a glowing recommendation!
