Heart Keeper is book 3 in the Manchester Athletics series but can be read as a stand alone.

Nate is a talented keeper on the football team and he’s older too. He’s been grieving the loss of his wife while parenting his two young girls.

Amber is a physiotherapist and they have been attracted to each other but have never acted on it, until they do. A surprise pregnancy cause both of them to think about what they really want in life.

This is a lovely story with a lot for Nate and Amber to sort out, but they do and get a hard fought HEA.

“Heart Keeper” is a steamy, fun and heartfelt soccer romance that pulled me in from the very start and did not let go until the end. I absolutely adored Nate and Amber and the whole gang from Manchester Athletic.

Nate is a single Dad to two adorable little girls after his wife passed away a couple years prior. His focus since then has been soccer and being the best Dad to his daughters. When he pulls a muscle and visits one of the team physios, Amber, something deep inside him stirs. Amber has a successful physio career and is very happy with her life. Nate, his daughters and two pink lines on a test were not part of her plans.

Nate and Amber have some red hot chemistry. Their connection was instant and you could just tell that it was perfect. Nate is an amazing Dad and I love how he cares for his daughters. Nate is gentle, understanding and knows how to treat Amber. Gentleman in the streets, alpha in the sheets. Amber is a straight forward, no nonsense kind of woman and I instantly connected with her. She has a lot of relatable characteristics and issues that I think a lot will be able to relate to. Nate’s girls were adorable and brought a lot of sweet and funny moments to the story. We get some possible hints at some of the upcoming books and I can’t wait.

Book three in the Manchester Athletic series can be read as a stand alone and ends with a HEA. It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV.
Nate is coming through the worst of his grief after his wife died. He has busy maintaining his career and raising his two daughters. When he notices Amber, one of the team’s physios, he must deal with guilt and the other emotions that bubble up as he determines if he is ready to move on. Amber is successful in her career and has sworn off footballers for romance. Nate makes her want to change her mind. They have unbeatable chemistry. Neither looks as their fling as anything but as something in the moment. Neither pictures a forever relationship.
Nate is such an amazing dad. I also love how fast his feelings develop for Amber, even though he tries to fight them. I love the emotion in this book. Both Nate and Amber must come to terms with what their future could look like together. There are some seriously steamy moments. Nate’s daughters are unbearably cute. Amber must come to terms with the surprise resulting from their relationship. She must make decisions about how to handle things. I appreciate the struggle that Amber has as she weighs her options against the future she pictured. There are some difficult subjects handled in a sensitive manner over the course of the story. I really enjoyed this one. It may be my favorite of the series so far.
I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book.

This was a light fun, enjoyable read. We loved the characters, they were a lot of fun. The story was steamy as the characters had some really awesome chemistry. Amber has been burned by a footballer before, so she was really Leary of getting involved with another one, but, her attraction for Nate is no match for her protests.

Loved Nate in the fact that he tried to prove not all athletes are like her ex, he even went out of his way to make her feel special not to just get into her pants but, because he really meant it.

This couple has completely different life goals but, they are really perfect for one another. Fate plays an important part for these lovers, sometimes you just need a little push to see how different your life could really be and still be happy.

Overall, loved that little twist of fate that happened for this couple as we were rooting for them to make a relationship between them work somehow. A heartfelt read. Nothing more to say other than we loved it

5 star review Heart Keeper (Manchester Athletic #3) by Annie Dyer

This is the third book in the the Manchester Athletic series by Annie Dyer and was an entertaining read. Goalkeeper Nate Morris is juggling a lot of things whilst trying to come to terms with the grief and guilt he carries after the death of his wife. Trying to be both mother and father to his daughters, he is struggling.

I enjoy single parent stories and found this to be realistic and well written. I really liked physiotherapist Amber, she is is focused and determined and will do her best to help Nate. However both have issues, Nate is still struggling after the death of his wife and Amber has been burnt by bad relationships in the past. He has children and she never planned on having any, so there are certainly issues that need to be resolved. Heart Keeper was an emotional read at times as hard topics are confronted and handled with care; no sensationalism which I really appreciated.

Neither were looking for a relationship but fate had other plans for them. I loved the relationship that they had with his daughters Libbie and Zara (who stole the book out from under Nate and Amber). All in all an emotional and heart warming story that ticked the boxes for me.

This series keeps getting better. Annie Dyer has built a richly realistic world that includes glimpses of past stories and hints of future ones, all while giving us two characters who are proper grown-ups, fully aware of what they want and don’t want. And yet…

Nate has a lot going on, battling grief and guilt and loneliness while trying to do his job and be both parents to his daughters. I really like the way he’s depicted: he has layers, and doesn’t fall into any sort of romance hero pigeonhole. Amber is straightforward, no-nonsense, very much a woman managing very well in a predominantly masculine world, and this attitude spills over into her dealings with both the book’s events and her friendships. There are a few sensitive issues - not just grief, but also attitudes towards motherhood and pregnancy complications - and they aren’t brushed aside or milked for unnecessary drama, but instead form an integral part of character and relationship development. And of course, there’s plenty of the trademark humour and steam! Another five star read, and more please…

I really enjoyed Nate and Amber's story. But I don't know why but the middle of the story felt a little draggy. I like the pacing of the first 30% and the last 30%. I especially loved the latter because of how heartwarming their story goes. And they're really becoming a family. Also because I loved how Amber is with Nate's kids. Because only then do we get their interactions. Their story turned out really heartwarming and sweet. I loved it!

Heart Keeper incorporates all my favorite tropes into one; single dad, workplace romance, soccer, and surprise pregnancy! 💚

I loved Nate and Amber from the start. Nate is a star soccer player who is raising his daughters alone after losing his wife to cancer. He is just an overall great guy (his character reminded me a lot of Tucker from Off Campus).

Amber and Nate begin hooking up but plan to keep things casual, until Amber finds herself pregnant. As Nate and Amber process the news that they’re having a baby together, they’re also trying to figure out their feelings for each other.

I loved that this book had dual pov because I always love reading the guy’s pov and seeing situations from both perspectives. I loved this book and would recommend it to all the sports romance lovers who follow my account!

** ARC for review! This is my honest review and thank you to the author for my copy. 💚

Heart Keeper is book 3 in the Manchester Athletic series, but can be absolutely read as a stand alone.
I adored this heartfelt story, surprise baby trope is my FAVORITE!
Nate is Manchester’s goalkeeper and a resident good guy, who is still grieving the loss of his late wife and finding a balance in life to provide the best possible upbringing to his 2 young daughters.
Amber, the team’s physical therapist is a no nonsense kind of gal, who has established herself in the predominantly male profession and is well liked by all team players and coworkers.
There is an undeniable attraction between Nate and Amber, but they are both reluctant in the relationship department as their goals in life do not align.
Will they be able to keep things casual, or will the surprise pregnancy cause them to reevaluate their future life objectives?
Heart Keeper is a wonderful story filled with love, humor, steam, swoon, family, friends and team mates; and you can’t help but fall in love with Nate’s 2 little girls.
I definitely recommend this heartwarming book to anyone who enjoys a great love story!

"So it looks like I’m late to the party as this is the first book I have read in this series. Needless to say it does definitely read as a stand-alone, but after enjoying this story so much I know I am going to need to read the previous books soon.
Amber and Nate are two of the best individual characters I have read recently, but put them together and it took this book to a whole other level.
At the start of the book Amber knew how her future was going to pan out. After Nate & his precious daughters enter the equation everything she thought would happen was thrown up in the air. This was hands down my favorite part of this story - how certain people that come into your life show you what you could have been missing.
Aside from the main characters there are some truly wonderful minor characters as well, some that I hope end up with their own stories as well. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book."

Nate lost his wife in the past couple of years so now he's focused on being the best girl dad, and his career in soccer. However, an injury brings him face to face with Amber, one of the team's physios, and maybe just maybe she'll be just what the doctor ordered. Amber is quite happy with her life, and she doesn't intend on getting involved with any of the players she works with, but she never saw Nate coming. These two have a ton of chemistry that shoots sparks everywhere when they're in each other's presence, and he definitely knows how to treat a woman. Of course his tiny humans are adorable, and did steal the show for me as they brought humor to the table, plus the whole cute & sweet factor. I LOVED this story so much as Annie Dyer penned a heartfelt story that filled my heart up, and I believe it will do the same for you after you hit those one click buttons! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

You need to read Heart Keeper!

Goalkeeper Nate Morris has his hands full between being the starting keeper for Manchester Athletic and raising his two daughters after being left a widower when his wife died of cancer. Nate has finally found his new normal but he can’t get team physiotherapist Amber Ward out of his mind. Neither of them are looking for a relationship because Amber is very open about not wanting children and Nate is a single father to Libbie and Zara but fate has other plans for them.

I loved the relationship between Amber and Nate plus Libbie and Zara so you need to put Heart Keeper at the top of list to read!

P.S. I’m hoping for more stories about Manchester Athletic.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author and Wildfire Marketing. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is book 3 in the Manchester Athletic series & could be read as a stand alone though I recommend reading the first 2 books in the series before this one. Nate has been grieving the loss of his wife and isn't really looking for love. He has been busy not only with his football (soccer) career but also raising his kids. When he notices the team physio Amber in a new light he is torn between guilt and moving on. I loved his relationship with his girls and his teammates. Amber is very determined and focused on her career, not looking for love as she's had some disastrous relationships in the past. This was a fantastic single parent story.

I was so excited to get my hands in this one because I love single dads! Nate was everything I hoped he would be….kind, funny, understanding, patient and loving. The chemistry between Nate and Amber was undeniable. I loved every minute of this book. This series is quickly becoming a favorite! Annie dryer has created such fantastic characters between the pages of these books.

You are going to fall head over heels in love with Nate, his 2 girls, Libbie and Zara, and Amber. Annie has a way of building these series with characters that you immediately connect to, and end up wanting to be apart of their lives. With Heart Keeper, we find Nate who is coming out of his grief of losing his wife and being a single Dad. Ashley is the teams Physio and has been burned by love by a footballer before. Their relationship starts slowly with texts and a little flirting, but quickly becomes and itch both need to scratch. The thing that I loved most about this book was the maturity of the characters, the things they go through and come out of stronger together are dealt with so well. I barely put this book down which to be honest is a common occurrence when I get my hands on an Annie Dyer book!

This book is about Nate and Amber. He’s the goalkeeper, she’s one of the physical therapists. He’s a widower and she hates footballers. She’s beautiful, smart and feisty. He’s sexy, smart, kind and a single dad. They’ve known each other for several years, but never made a move, so now started talking and texting, which leads to them getting naked and having a great time, which they repeat a few times afterwards and leads to an unexpected surprise! They have to work a lot of issues in order to move on to the next step, whatever it may be. Fortunately, they do, as they have a wonderful support system.

This book’s characters were sweet and charming. I enjoyed the different characters and the fact it ties to another series, The Callaghans. I like sports romances and this one was definitely one of those!

Heart Keeper
A Manchester Athletic Novel
Annie Dyer
Nate, goalie, widower, father.
Amber, fierce, determined, team physio.
Amber is forced to question all the decisions she has made about her path in life. Can Nate get what he really wants and desires? Will Amber be brave enough to forget her fears?
With two genuinely nice lead characters and a cast with some well know side characters for those who are Annie Dyer fans this book hits the mark. This is a sports romance that balances the on and off- field lives of the characters.
Whilst this is part of a series it can be completely read as a stand-alone novel with hea. With great characters and story Ms Dyer has done it again!
I received an arc of this book.

𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗥𝗖 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝘆 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻.

If you are looking for a heartfelt single parent romance book, you might want to read this book.

Nate is a single dad to two young girls, after losing his wife a few years ago. He is also the keeper for Manchester Athletic. Amber is the club's physio and after pulling a muscle during a game, Nate visits her. Things soon develop and while it may have started as a fling, a surprise might change the game.

From the first moment I read about those Nate and Amber together, the chemistry between them was palpable. When facing an unexpected surprise, they deal with it in a very good way. I was very happy to read how Amber dealt with the decision she needed to make. It was very well written. Nate and Amber grew as the story went along and their journey was beautiful.

This story was heartfelt and my heart is full of love for them.

I hadn't read any of the previous 2 books before. It can be read as a stand-alone. I will however be checking other books by this author out.

Amber, Nate and the girls stole my heart!

This story has everything I love all rolled up into one! Friends to lovers, workplace romance, single dad, surprise pregnancy!!!!! You will love every minute of Heart Keeper!

Nate's dealing with a lot looking after his two girls, navigating raising them as a single parent after he lost his wife to cancer....his priority is the girls and he isn't looking for a relationship.  Amber is the team physio and after a previous relationship with a footballer, he cheated on her she has sworn of them. But the attraction between them both is undeniable! A few flirty texts lead to so much more!

This story deals with some difficult subjects for so many people out there but the author handled these with such sensitivity.

Seeing glimpses of the lives of not only the players like Jude (who is my favourite), Jesse but also of Nate's sister, Genny and Neve just make it exciting to see whose story is next!

If you like football, you will love this book. It has strong lovable characters, with lots of banter and flirting,

Nate is a goalkeeper for Manchester Athletic and loves his job, he is also a single dad to two gorgeous little girls. Amber is one of the clubs physios and refuses to date footballers has made it clear she doesn’t want children!

The problem is, although Nate knows this about Amber, and Amber knows he has kids, they can’t stay away from each other, and one thing leads to another, and then a bit more! Can they find a way forward together as a team, or will they fall apart at the first sign of trouble.

I'm loving this series from Annie Dyer!!

Nate has been through enough heartache for one lifetime. He lost his wife to cancer and is now tasked with raising his two adorable daughters on his own. He can't even think of starting a new relationship....until he starts seeing his physio, Amber, in a whole new light. Amber isn't looking for a relationship, especially one with a single dad but Nate isn't like the other players and he has abs for days. What's the harm in a little flirtation, a few kisses, a stolen night?

Lots of emotion in this third book of the Manchester Athletics series. I loved the chemistry between Nate and Amber and his little girls stole every scene they were in (in a good way!!). I can't wait for the next in the series!!

I fell in love with Nate, his two girls, Libbie and Zara, and Amber in Heart Keeper by Annie Dyer, book three in her Manchester Athletic series. This is my first read by Dyer and of this series. It will definitely not be my last.

Goalkeeper Nate Morris is juggling a lot of things while trying to come to terms with the grief and guilt he carries after the death of his wife. Trying to be both mother and father to his daughters, he is struggling. Becoming attracted to Amber, one of the team’s physios, causes him to feel guilty. With so much on his plate, Nate needs to decide if he is ready to move on or stay a single dad to his two beautiful girls. Amber is successful in her career and has sworn off footballers after being burned by a footballer before. Nate makes her want to change her mind. They have undeniable and off the charts chemistry. Neither looks at their fling as anything but sizzling benefits that happen in the moment; never considering a forever relationship.

Nate is an amazing dad; working hard, and struggling, to create a normal life for his young, precocious daughters. His feelings for Amber grew quickly, despite his trying to fight them. There is so much emotion in this book. Amber will need to come to terms with the surprise consequence resulting from their relationship; as well as making decisions how to handle everything. Nate and Amber will also need to come to terms with what their future could look like together. Dyer does an excellent job showcasing the struggle that Amber has as she weighs her options against the future she pictured; one without children. There are some difficult subjects handled in a sensitive manner over the course of the story.

Heart Keeper was a heartwarming, emotional story that should definitely not be missed. Ms. Dyer provided a tale with sizzling chemistry, magnetic attraction, and difficult topics being dealt with and handled with care. Neither Nate or Amber was looking for a relationship but fate had other plans for them. I loved the relationship that they had with his daughters Libbie and Zara; who stole the book out from under Nate and Amber. I totally enjoyed and highly recommend Heart Keeper is to other readers and look forward to the next book in the series.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

I love my visits to Manchester and I love catching up with the Manchester Athletic Team and in
Heart Keeper (Manchester Athletic #3) we get to know single dad Nate Morris’s story.
Goalkeeper Nate is struggling to get over the death of his wife, his guilt consumes him and add in the struggles of being both father and mother to his two adorable daughters, life was never going to be easy. He has no room for a relationship or anything else so what happens when an injury has him spending time with physiotherapist Amber……
Amber’s past means she is warned off relationships especially one with a footballer but she has a job to do and that means spending time with the man she finds extremely attractive. So will lines be crossed and will two adorable little girls melt her heart and change her mind about children and families. One click to find out.
Heat Keeper us a wonderful addition to this series, I love single parent stories and this read is certainly up there wth the best in this troupe. I fell hard and fast for Nate, I swooned and I sighed as my heart broke as I learnt his story, I adored Amber but it was two little girls to who at times stole the show that melted my heart. A entertaining and emotional journey that captivated from the first few ages to the final lines. Looking forward that’s next for Manchester Athletic.

This Nate and Amber's story and I absolutely adored it so much. I think it's my absolute favorite out of any of the books the author has ever written. It was hot and sexy, sweet and heartwarming and such an awesome romance. Nate really was an awesome guy and this book was so romantic.

This is the story of single dad to two young girls and soccer player Nate who was widowed years before. For the first time in years, he is interested in someone and its with Amber who is a massage therapist for his soccer club. Amber likes Nate too, but he is a girl dad, and she has no plans of wanting children in her future.

There is a lot of steam in this story and there are also lots of well-meaning friends who can see that what Nate and Amber can have is very special. But these two believe their future can never mesh and so this book has a lot of push and pull back and then well these can't resist each other even though being together does not make sense.

The heart wants what the heart wants and sometimes life is worth that risk and that's what Nate and Amber learn in this wonderful romance. The many twists and turns life can take, make life so precious.

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Amber and Nate are oh so hot and sweet at the same time. I loved this heart-felt, single dad, second chance, surprise baby story.
Amber is career focused and loves her job working with the Manchester Athletic team. She is all about making the most of her career and a family and kids is just not on her radar. Nate is the star goalie/keeper who lost his wife and is just now coming around to living again. They have been attracted to each other for a while, but Nate has not let himself look at another woman since his daughters Libbie and Zara) lost their mother. When he is finally convinced to get out and live again, their covert attraction becomes a raging inferno. Then everything changes. Amber learns that Nate is so much more than what he seems. She also learns that she wants more than she thought that was ever possible. As the story unfolds, we get to watch their relationship grow and change as the baby grows as well. I loved that this book encompassed the idea that you are never given more than you can handle, and if you open yourself to love, you will be surprised how far you will grow.

Not a average Romance
The story of Nate And Amber has not the typical order. But that is what makes it so interesting.
Working for the same football club: He the goal keeper, she the physio, the know each other. Good
enough to know that to date each other were no such a good decision. But that wouldn't stop them
to learn more about them in other ways. Not always the wisest choice as you will read.
It took a while for me but after learning more about Amber, I liked her. She knows what she wants
and what she doesn't want. She is independent, engaged in her work, liked by friends and clients but
after a awful experience insecure of herself.
Nate has lot on his shoulders. Widower, single parent and goalkeeper to a successful football club.
He finally wants to move on, but he has to learn how and knows the person he wants to try with has
not the same goals as he, at some point.
The way this story goes is not new, but rare. So you get very curious where this will lead to and end,
because the characters are slightly unpredictable. I liked it a lot because I wanted to know how it
went on. Fluidly but nevertheless sensitive and detailed written.
