Blackened Death Metal from Chile. Those vocals really get me, they are ferociously & scarily deep! So Death is Truth (Mors Est Veritas) or rather Blackened Death is Truth here & those riffs & this entire album kill! Thanks Vargheist! Highly recommended!

Blackened Death Metal from Santiago, Chile.
"The musical/philosophical doctrine of Imperathron emerges from the intellectual quest to recreate the sound of death and its dark paths, passing under the gray thresholds of stoicism, death, and war, with the will to power as the only guiding star in a sky blackened by the existential desolation of modern man. In this unsuccessful but unassailable search for compositional excellence, an attempt is made to materialize these concepts, letting the musical instruments collude in a concerted hymn to death, with organic resources, mixing the brutality and violence of death metal with more lugubrious and cursed passages, with some pale lights of harmonic hope, which are quickly perverted by anachronistic dissonances vomited by the conspiring work of the strings that mercilessly remind us that, finally, all is lost. Traditional elements also emerge in all of this, such as baroque fugues possessed by vengeful forgotten gods. The composition of the themes is a coldly calculated chaos in each second of rapid but eternal agony, giving Imperathron a unique and evocative sound character."

Greek BURIAL HORDES reached new depths here, this dissodeath album is crushingly loud, and while their BM past may have influenced on some of the song writing, this opus is a massive slab of earth shaking DM! "Ruins" seems quite the perfect title indeed, because after it is played (loud), nothing remains but ruins. Phenomenal 5th LP and Opus Magnum!!

Festering Anti-Cosmic Wound

US one man Blackened Death Metal. This is very tortured indeed, however, it never loses consistency. The vocals in particular stand out as coming straight out one of the last circles of hell! An album perfectly focused on destruction. My only advice is listen & pay attention but don't stand in the way! Recommended!!!

Okay, this album threw me off a bit when I first heard it. I listened to D.A.D.'s previous efforts, but this one has really grown on me. The glassy sounding guitars, spazztic sections, and gutturals vocals keep me drawn to Blackened Cerebral Rifts. This reminds me of a mix between Malignancy, Demilich, Afterbirth, Wormed, and Biolich. A truly unique experience and something I can really appreciate as a musician.
