Duplantis wins gold - and breaks his own world record

  • Swedish pole vaulter Armand Duplantis won a world championship gold on the last day of the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, Sunday.

  • He also set a new world record at 6.21 metres, breaking his old one by 1 centimetre.

  • All in all, there were three Swedish medals in the championships - in addition to Duplantis's gold, Perseus Karlström got two bronzes in the 20km and 35 km race walks.
