Maybe they were drinking alcohol. In any case, he immediately begins threatening violence, as there is a death penalty for heresy and apostasy in Islam.
“Grenoble: knife attack on Place Notre-Dame,” translated from “Grenoble : attaque au couteau sur la place Notre-Dame.” by Vanessa Laime, Le Dauphiné, August 11, 2022 (thanks to Medforth):
“For me, it’s clear, it was a terrorist act! “Still in shock, this 40-year-old from Grenoble – who wishes to remain anonymous – recounts how he and several of his friends were attacked by an unknown person armed with a knife, this Thursday August 11 in the midst of noon, while they were seated…
“ He started by saying ‘Hello’ to us and then he asked us if we were Arabs ”, explains the witness. “ He himself was of the North African type and he insisted by asking the question several times. We answered him “yes” and there he pulled out a knife at least 50 centimeters and he started shouting: “You are shaming your religion! You are bad Muslims. I will cut you all up!”…
As his pursuers continued to surround him from a safe distance, the man ended up kneeling, hands on his head, in front of the police who were pointing him with their service weapon.
PMK says
No sympathy for those he threatened. When did any of them stand up for the rights of non=Muslims? It’s a terrible thing to say but I no longer care what Muslims do to other Muslims. Compassion is wasted on them.
somehistory says
Is it possible that they said “yes” with the idea that he wouldn’t attack them?
There have been reports from Africa, detailing how mozlums ask if others are mozlum and when they say “yes” are allowed to keep living; “no” brings death.
devout mozlums are determined to make the entire earth bow down to their ‘god’ and father, and any who don’t wish to worship satan and be adopted as his children, are targeted for death.
mortimer says
To continually vent viciously here and calumniate Muslims with obvious hatred … even after being repeatedly admonished with Biblical references … is not only childish but unChristian.
Your conduct discredits the counterjihad movement … which is concerned with human rights.
Calumny is a double sin, and not a small one. We should not slander people as you do.
The Ephesians 4:15 says: ‘Speak the truth in love’. However, you are repeating the same calumnies over and over. Muslims literally do not ‘worship satan’. Allah is NOT the father of Muslims, but they do consider him their slave-master. Muslims try to worship God, but they have wrong information.
While it is fair to say that Mohammed was thought by many to be demon-possessed or under a spell at times in his life, it is unfair and a calumny to say Muslims worship the devil.
Please be mature and reasonable and back up your comments with facts that confirm your claims. Otherwise your venting remains unfounded calumnies.
CogitoErgoSum says
I have to disagree with you, mortimer. If Muslims believe that the words of the Koran are the words of Allah then they believe that Jesus is NOT the Son of God.
At the baptism of Jesus, John the Baptist hears a voice that says, “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. At the Transfiguration of Jesus the Apostles, Peter, James and John, hear a voice which repeats this about Jesus and adds, “Listen to Him.” Jesus refers to God as His Father in John 10:30 with the words , “The Father and I are one.” The Koran contradicts the Bible in this matter and tells Muslims just the opposite.
The Koran says Allah has no son.
Someone is not telling the truth. Either the Gospels are lying or the Koran is. I think you have either to reject the Bible or believe that God sometimes lies if you believe Muslims worship the same god as Christians. How can you say it is slander to point this out and how do you reconcile the contradictions, mortimer?
somehistory says
Good arguments, CES.
Jesus told us what He will say to those whom He “never knew” as doing “works of lawlessness.”

ya know, “morimer” you continue to demand that I treat your cohorts with deep respect while you give me none….and you wouldn’t know Christ if He came to your door dressed in the clothing he wore as He died.
You throw the word “unChristian at me because you think by doing so that you are superior. Well, for your information, the snakes and vipers and unclean cups threw the same word at Jesus Christ. That puts me in Fine company, while you, “mortimer” ….not so much.
I found a couple of words that fit you, “mortimer.” Smatchet and ultracrepidarian. and of course, what I believe you to be…a mozlum masquerading as an infidel pretending to know the Bible, but using it as a weapon against someone who does know Christ.
I won’t insult Children as you try to . I would rather be a child any time, any day of the week than a mozlum snake, son of satan.
What mozlums demand of me, I refuse. what mozlums demand of me, I rebel.
the only thing is, mozlums never take no for an answer, do they? that is why you keep on demanding that I not call a snake a snake.

It’s like you have split-personality Mortimer. On the one hand I see you make good detailed statements explaining how bad Islam and Muslims are, on the other you attack fellow posters who say the same things you do. Hypocrite much?
It seems you have some deep loyalties to Islam, you’re probably an ex-Muslim. You remind me of that fake Atheist ex-Muslim Armin Navabi who’s made a name for himself on the internet, denouncing Islam while at the same time defending Muslims.
Your post above is rife with fallacies and nonsense. There is no easy way out of this. Like Nazism, Islam is a fascist totalitarian ideology. But as terrible as the Nazis were, at least they didn’t want to drag humanity to the Dark Ages, unlike the Muslims.
You need to decide whose side you’re really on because you flip-flop more than John Kerry. And let’s get it very clear, you are the outlier, the odd man out, you don’t speak for the rest of us. Most people here see Islam the way SomeHistory and myself do. We consider it a danger to the West.
I’ve known my share of Muslims personally over many years, I live in a very multicultural city. However while some are definitely nice, westernized people, the vast majority of them have another agenda and the truth comes out in different ways.
So like SomeHistory, I want (at least the fundamentalist) Muslims deported and Islam to be banned. I don’t know what your end game is, but it’s clear you’re trying to convince non-Muslims to stand down and take a weak approach and that’s not going to happen. If that doesn’t appeal to you, join a pro-Islam site, nobody will miss you trust me.

thank you, Fitna.

Oh, good grief, Mortimer–you yourself have noted that pious Muslims demand that Infidels submit to Islam. Saying this is not calumny against Muslims; it is simply true.
And the claim that condemning evil is unChristian *does not* hold water. There are verses I have cited that note that lauding evil as good is not a good thing.
And condemning Jihadists for murdering non-Muslims does *not* discredit the Counter Jihad movement. In fact, murdering Infidels because they are not Muslim is a pretty major violation of human rights.
Somehistory only “slandered” Jihadists in the Islamic sense–Ghiba–that nothing negative should be said about pious Muslims. This tactic of Jihadists attacking Infidels after they have identified themselves as such is actually widespread, and has been confirmed here many times. Jihadists have done this in Kenya, in Israel, and in parts of Europe, just off the top of my head. so how is citing this calumny–that is, untrue?
And Ephesians 4:15 is about spreading Jesus’ message–not about condemning evil.
And one can certainly argue that believing that Allah wants you to knife your coreligionists to death if you feel they are not Islamic enough is actually pretty evil. You many, of course, disagree…
somehistory says
g,
good arguments. I don’t often actually “speak” using my actual vocal cords about the filth of islam. so, any claim of “slander” would have to be the misunderstanding of those who don’t really know what slander is.
“moritmer” is determined to force me to say what he wants me to say, or say nothing at all. I refuse to bow to his demands.
gravenimage says
Agreed, Somehistory.

Bonjour Mortimer,
From my stand point you are absolutely right to make the difference between mass mind (crowd psychology) and the individual but we live in “gregarious” societies.
It’s obvious that not all Muslims are crazy or bad persons and everyone is equal before the law and God.
But I see at what is happening in Russia, Europe or in Middle East and in other parts in the world and I can only agree with Brigitte Gabriel : “the peaceful majority is irrelevant”.
However, we can always hope it’s never too late to set things right.
Bien à vous

That is definitely a possibility! I read the story for any evidence that the people he questioned were muslims, and saw nothing to that effect

Quite possible, Somehistory. There have been many cases of Jihadists attacking non-Muslims after they have confirmed that they are not Muslim–and this has happened all over the world.
mortimer says
As many as 35% of Muslims are non-practicing and DO NOT WANT the imposition of Sharia law according to poll surveys.
Infidel says
In other words, the other 65% are okay w/ it. And yet, you insist on ‘humanizing’ muslims
CogitoErgoSum says
What is their purpose of identifying as Muslims then? Are they atheists? Are they what Muhammad would call hypocrites? What is the downside of leaving Islam or being a hypocrite? If they don’t want to practice their religion why do they call themselves Muslims? I think you know the answer, mortimer, and the people who ARE practicing Muslims know also.
gravenimage says
65% wanting to impose the horrors of Shari’ah law on us is actually terribly alarming.
And will any of those 35% fight their more devout coreligionists to support Infidels? Damned few, if history is anything to go by.

mortimer says
The result of Emmanuel Macron’s ‘French-style Islam’ would be more threats like this one from a serious, practicing Muslim.
Muslims all universally have a GREAT COMMISSION to enforce Sharia law. They call it: “COMMANDING THE RIGHT and FORBIDDING THE WRONG”.
Sharia law has protocol for imposing its strictures by VIGILANTE MUSLIMS.
When Muslims see anything that contradicts Sharia law, they are required to use persuasion, domineering words, harsh words, vandalism, threatening intimidation, physical assault and even armed attacks to enforce Sharia law. To fail to do those things in order would be sinful. Enforcing Sharia law is the mission of all Muslims.
This Muslim is doing step four on this list: THREATENING INTIMIDATION.
gravenimage says
Mortimer, I thought you were just telling us that many Muslims don’t want to impose Shari’ah on us?
CogitoErgoSum says
Sometimes I think mortimer is more than one person.
somehistory says
there were a couple of time that I looked at all of his comments on several different threads and noticed the time of each posted comment. I noted to myself that even if a person is a really fast typist, or copies and pastes as I’m pretty sure he does a lot…it takes time to do the all caps and then lower case and then back to all caps, …which will naturally slow even a really good typist down….computers still take some time to upload the comment and return to the page for another comment.
i noted to myself that some of his comments were just way too close in time to all be posed by one person. Especially his long comments on multiple threads.
CogitoErgoSum says
Yeah, maybe he knows how to use bots because his comments do seem a bit robotic at times.
somehistory says
Because he contradicts himself quite often, I have considered that at least two different people comment under his moniker, which allows his comments to be so close in time and still of sufficent length to be more than a word or two.
gravenimage says
If Mortimer were really several different posters, I think one or another of his identities would be complaining or setting the record straight.
We’ve had several instances here of posters with the same or very similar names, and this is usually what happens.
somehistory says
I mean that they work *together*….not separate like others with the same names.
It is possible to have multiple computers on the same page at the same time with the same login. I’ve been in my email and had my daughter get into my email from her pc at the same time.
so, it would not be impossible for a family member of “mortimer’s’ to be on his account, making comments while he is doing so.

France: Knife-wielding Muslim screams at other Muslims: ‘You are bad Muslims. I will cut you all up!’
………………………….
Interesting how devout Jews and Christians don’t threaten to murder their less devout coreligionists. Imagine a Jew threatening Jews eating bacon cheeseburgers or Christians threatening Christians who just go to Church services on Easter and Christmas? Doesn’t happen. But Islam so often goes straight for threats of violence.
