I never imagined that one night could end the friendship Beau Bishop and I’d had since birth and sever all ties between our families. Especially when less than an hour prior to that tragic accident at the racetrack that night, he had confessed his love to me under the bleachers. A bond I’d thought could never be broken was smashed to smithereens in an instant.

He left Alabama, hightailing it to Florida without so much as a good-bye.

Two years later, we’ve crossed paths again. Only he’s no longer known as Beau Bishop. No, now, the boy that I’ve been in love with my entire life is called Bama. And Bama is a cocky, closed-off jerk.

As much as he tries to push me away, he should know how persistent I am when it comes to something I want. Losing is never an option. Just ask all of the guys I’ve raced to become number one.

Getting everything I’ve ever wanted is finally so close I can almost reach out and grab it. But you know that saying—waiting for the other shoe to drop? Yeah … well, those words were always in the back of my mind. Knowing it seemed too good to be true to finally have Beau Bishop in the palm of my hand.

And I was right. Because once again, I was alone.

Sometimes, fear makes you do stupid things when it comes to the ones you love. We were a walking example of that.

This is book two in the Florida East University series.

Hannah Gray spends her days in vacationland, living in a small, quaint town on the coast of Maine. She is an avid reader of contemporary romance and is always in competition with herself to read more books every year.

Once they fall asleep next to her in her bed--because their bedrooms apparently have monsters in them--she dives into her own fantasy world, staying awake well into the late-night hours, typing away stories about her characters. As much as she loves being a wife and mom--and she certainly does love it--reading and writing are her outlet, giving her a place to travel far away while still physically being with her family.

She married her better half in 2013, and he's been putting up with her craziness every day since. As her anchor, he's her one constant in this insane, forever-changing world.

Enjoyed the strength of the h. The H did an abrupt about turn from determination about staying away but it was to show the inevitability of him ending up with the h.

This was such a good book. I did not expect Beau and Mila’s story to evoke such tear jerking emotions in me! This was a beautiful second chance, enemies to lovers romance that had both of them fighting for different reasons. He held a grudge for a situation in the past that was out of Mila’s control, but she had enough strength & love to carry the torch for them both until he could see what she did. My heart was on overload, and went out to Mila for all the things Bama had put her through. All the range of emotions she went through I felt like I was experiencing with her.

This story was told so well, and the author with the detailed way she wrote it made it come to life. I loved every page of this book and had a hard time putting it down for anything. This was a beautiful story between two kids that grew up together and were torn apart by a tragedy. This enemies to lovers, second chance romance, was exactly everything I was hoping Bama’s story would be while patiently waiting for it. I really can’t wait for the next book to see what this group of friends has in store!

Stealing Bama takes us back to FEU but this time focusing on Beau Bishop, aka Bama Bishop. I got a feeling for Bama in Gray’s last book, Playing Dane and thank you, Hannah for giving us Bama in this second book. He has this aura about him that you can’t help but fall in love with him. Stealing Bama had my wheels spinning from the word go, Beau Bishop finally telks his best friends sister he loves her the same day devastation hits him and his family at full force & blaming the one person who he claims to love. Gone from his life for 2 years, Mila Hardy comes back with one sole purpose in mind. Winning back the one guy who has held her heart since the day she was born. This book was more than romance stuffed into 317 pages, it was heartbreak, healing, forgiveness and total undying love between 2 childhood friends who had an early childhood love for each other that never got to blossom, not until 2 years later. I loved this book , Gray had the tears flowing on chapter 21. She got me good and I wasn’t expecting it. Go get your copy today.

This is the 2nd book in this series, and this is Beau / Bama and Mila’s journey. These two have loves each other all their lives, and after declaring his love for her under the bleachers, a tragedy has him leaving minutes later determined to never see her again. Beau and his family left town straight away, cutting all ties. Mila is feisty, strong, and a force to be reckoned with, and she is determined to attend Florida East University, which is where Beau intended to go, and fight to get her man back. Beau has now changed his name to Bama, and he was a formed drag racer and is currently the university’s most popular football player. After 2-years Bama still wants nothing to do with Mila, but can she convince him to change his mind? This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster, with grief, healing, challenges, family, friendships, forgiveness, tension, and love, which leads to a riveting and addictive page turner.

This book was just as good as the last, perhaps better since I gave it more stars.

The relationship between Mila and Beau is so beautiful but also so sad during so much of it. Throw in the “complications” with Beau’s dad and well…it’s an emotional roller coaster for sure.

“He gives me one of his signature smiles. “I’m always with them. When Beau races or plays a game. When Winter’s studying or on one of her long walks … I’m there.” His eyes grow hazy. “And when Julie works too damn hard or has to get after the kids for being shitheads”—his head leans in as he chuckles—“ well, mostly just Beau. Or when she sits on the patio, missing me … I’m there.” He stands, pulling me up and against him. “And every single time you strap in that car and take it down that asphalt, I’m right next to you, Mi.” He kisses my forehead. “I love that I got to visit you, but now, it’s time for you to go back. You can’t stay here. Too many people need you.””

I love finding new to me authors! This is the first book I’ve read by Heather Gray and I loved it! Beau aka Bama acts all tough on the outside but he’s such a sweet guy under all those tattoos! And don’t get me started on Mila! I love strong female main characters and she is one of the strongest I’ve read! She excels in a male dominated sport and doesn’t care what people think about her for being herself! I really enjoyed the interactions with their parents too. They all tell it like it is and have such good relationships with each other! I definitely need to go back and read the first book in this series, although I didn’t feel like I missed anything by reading this book first. It definitely is a standalone. I can’t wait to read more books by Heather Gray!

🌟 5/5
Spice: 2.5/5 🌶️

This follows Beau (Bama) and Mila.
They grew up together, but in racing families and loving it themselves. They gradually fell in love with each other as they grew up together. Around the same time Beau decides to tell Mila how he feels there is a big race, and, in that race, he loses his father. Because it's Mila's father that causes that accident Beau writes off Mila and her entire family.
Now it's a few years later and Mila is determined to get him to notice her and give her the chance they should have had. She's going to the same college as him and putting herself in his path every chance she gets to bring him back around.
This story is full of grief, forgiveness, and growth. This is one of those "it's always been you" love stories. One you can feel every step of the way. Mila is determined, Beau is still angry and in pain. In a way, she forces him to forgive and heal.
It's also a story of knowing who someone else is and accepting them as they are without change. Even if it hurts, or you're scared.
My heart hurt for both of them for different reasons at different times. The hard times they go through is balanced with the happy moments and the HEA. Like all of Hannah's books, I cried. Of course, I did. I have never not cried while reading one of her books. You'll go through all of the emotions through the book. Once again, another favorite read.

Their fathers are race car drivers and hers crashes and his father is killed so he and his family leave Alabama and go to Florida despite that they lived next to each other, he's BFF's with her brother and her parents were surrogate parents to him and his sister. The night of the accident he finally admits he's in love with her but then just vanishes. She's tenacious, chases after him and all of that was good except I couldn't get over the juxtaposition of this being a bit of a family story but all of the kids cussed at their parents in everyday conversations and for no good reason. And eventually after building up this whole family thing I was 50% in and I just didn't care so I quit.

3.5 Stars. I struggled while Mila threw herself at Beau the whole first half of the book. She went out of her way to chase him down and let him know he could have her at any moment. No requirements needed. It was a bit pathetic for me but somehow wasn’t terrible since we get to read from Beau’s perspective and know how he really feels about her.
Beau does a hard about face half way through that didn’t work very smoothly either. But overall their story is sweet and who could turn down that cover!? 😍

My first review doesn't do this book enough justice for me to leave it that way.
Let's go!
First know that when the announcement of the release of the book I knew that I wanted to be part of the one who would have the privilege of reading it first. I'm the one who liked too much when someone suggests a book that just came out and I can answer "OH! I've already read it" ahahaah
A book that deals with the theme of forgiveness. At 18 we are mostly immature and when we are faced with a tragedy our way of handling the situation may be larger than life, excessive.
This book is a beautiful example that as we age, maturation makes us understand many things. Beau's evolution is an excellent example of this, as much as mourning, several stages are necessary for forgiveness.
On the other hand, forgiveness needs time to be accomplished and like mourning no one advances through these stages at the same speed.

After 2 years Beau AKA Bama comes face to face with Mila, the one to whom he proclaimed his love a few minutes before never wanting to see her again.
Mila is a force of nature, a strong woman, a real one. I loved this girl after only a few pages and my love for her only grew as the chapters progressed.
Bama. We got to know him in the previous book and it was unanimous that the next book should be his story. Arrogant and proud of it, in this novel it is another facet of his person that is brought to light. Once he let Mila into his life again nothing could get her out.

" Get ready Mi. Beacause I'm taking all your firsts. Every. Last. One "

I loved the crossover between the first 2 novels, it's extremely well thought out and the fact that it's possible not to have read Playing Dane I strongly suggest you read it to appreciate Stealing Bama more.

The fact that I expected to shed a few tears did not diminish the amount of salt water that fell on my cheeks, neck and neckline. And the end make me cry even more! The last chapter was all I needed to resume my life happy ever after !!

5 stars are not enough. I gave more beacause this book met all my expectations.

Here is Bama taking the road to my library, right next to Dane.

Thanks to Hannah and WP for providing me with an ARC.

At the heart of this new adult romance, is a story about forgiveness. Everyone makes mistakes, minor ones all the way up to major ones that you can't take back and alter the course of your life, but everyone has the power to forgive and it's up to you whether you decide to live with anger, grief, and resentment or forgive not only yourself, but those around you.

Beau "Bama" Bishop and Mila Hardy grew up together. Their father's were best friends, along with their mothers, they were next door neighbors and business partners. Basically it was inescapable when one wanted to go somewhere without the other, that is until the day that Beau's father was killed in a car accident. An accident that Mila's dad survived. Needless to say all of their lives changed and Beau blamed the Hardy family and broke all ties. Soon after they moved not only away as neighbors, but out of state. Mila's first crush made a statement loud and clear, but she is a girl who doesn't take rejection quietly. Beau has been attending Florida East University and that's where Mila has her sights set for college. Bama Bishop better watch out, Mila is racing in hot on his tail.

I waffled back and forth on these two while reading. There was a lot I liked about them, but there was also a lot I didn't. While I understood the grief and resentment that Beau held onto and seeing Mila only brought on the memories of the night his father was killed, I wasn't always thrilled about how Mila went about gaining his attention. This is a girl who is fearless on the racetrack and some of her antics just seemed a bit childish. However, when these two moved past the juvenile behavior, their deeper moments truly resonated and flushed out who they were as a character.

Stealing Bama does cross timelines with other books by Hannah, but this book can be read as a complete standalone. A 4.5 read overall.

4.25 - 4.5 Stars!!

Having read Ms.Gray's work many times before it always makes me smile whenever i get to pick up another book of hers! After reaching the end of Playing Dane i instantly started looking forward to this second book! I picked it up and got right back into the Florida East University world! I really enjoyed this story so very much!

Mila and Beau AKA Bama's journey pulled my heart and i in and didn't let go! A moment can change everything, something Mila and Beau know all too well. As they're brought back face to face two years later, can they handle the pain of their past and listen to their hearts? Or is it all too much? I couldn't wait to see how things would play out for these two!

Mila and Bama had me feeling so dang much from beginning to end! I really liked the fact that these two had history and getting to see how they'd tackle the past in the present. There was such a realness to this story that truly got to me. I was so glad that i got to dig deeper with them. Mila was such an awesome and determined character and Bama had me falling hard for him! The chemistry between these two was undeniable and blushworthy! Their story showed what it means to go through so much, but still find your way.

I was so happy to be back in the Florida East University world! I'm thoroughly enjoying this series and it's characters stories!

With Stealing Bama, Ms.Gray has created an unforgettably great read that had my heart feeling it ALL! Her writing has a way of staying on my mind and i cannot get enough of that! I can't wait to dive back into this series with the third installment, Catching Kye! If you haven't read this author's work yet, you so need to! 🧡

Stealing Bama is a college sports romance starring Beau/Bama Bishop and Mila Hardy. It is book two of the Florida East University series but can be read as a stand-alone. I read as a stand-alone and enjoyed it so much that I am going back to book one, Playing Dane, soon! 📚

Mila and Beau grew up next door to one another in Alabama. He was her older brothers best friend. They were all thick as thieves and bonded through their fathers’ friendship and their love for drag racing. Until one terrible accident changed everything. Now he’s known as Bama and playing D1 🏈 at Florida East University.

I really enjoyed watching this story unfold and seeing these two characters grow. I love that this book surprised me and was more than a romance. It was about forgiveness, staying true to oneself, and perseverance. It was spicy, but I’d only give it a 🌶🌶/5 which I actually think is perfect for this book since Mila is in the second half of her senior year of high school and summer before college. I also loved getting glimpses of Dane and Kye so I’ll be reading their books in the series too.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book! It was a feel-good second chance romance about first love and forgiveness with a side of spice. 🖤it made me cry, laugh, and smile. 👏🏼 I recommend it for fans of college sports romance who don’t mind a bit of spice and dirty talk.

It can be read for 🆓 on Kindle Unlimited!

So good! I loved it!

For me, I wouldn’t exactly call it and enemies to lovers romance book, more like a second chance romance or brothers best friend type of romance. Anyhoot.

Mila is a total badass and I loved her. She Is definitely a go getter and is fearless on and off the race track. She’s been in love with Beau “Bama” Bishop since she was little girl and her family and friends knew it. She was shy when it came to her feelings for Beau. She sought him out time after time even though he kept rejecting her, fighting his need for her because he was still blaming her family and her dad for the death of his father.

Beau was such a hottie. He’s one of the star football players for Florida East University and he got the nickname Bama because he’s from Alabama. I like that in this book there was no OW drama. He knew he still loved Mila but fought so hard against it because he stubbornly thought after what happened with his dad he just couldn’t move on and forgive so easily. He forgot how head strong and stubborn Mila is. She was a wrecking ball bursting right back into his life basically forcing him to confront his true feelings for her. He’s always loved her ☺️ he just needed the push and the reminder that he was crazy about her.

I felt so sad for Mila being told she couldn’t have children after her crash. I understood why she pushed Beau away even though it annoyed me. She was trying to give him a chance to have a life without her because she felt so sure can’t give him children because that’s what the doctor told her, she may not have a chance to have kids. She should’ve known that for Beau it was her and no one else. As hard as she fought for him, he did the same for her and it was so damn sweet! Their epilogue was everything! ☺️❤️

I ran to this book after reading Puck Boy and finding out Cam had a little sister, named Mila who did drag racing! I was so intrigued and had to know her story and it delivered!!! This book is about two childhood friends who are about to become more when a tragedy strikes that tears them apart and she becomes his enemy in a blink of an eye. Now a few years later, she still wants him and is determined to get him back. The story is emotional, has so much healing, character growth, and is truly about two souls who were always meant for each other that finally find their way back…with the help of a feisty and strong willed FMC! It’s an outstanding book that is so well written that I easily binged it straight through!

College football
Brother’s best friend
Virgin fmc
childhood friends to enemies to lovers
It’s always been you
Mini road trip

My favorite part of this book is that not only is it a brother’s best friend story, but SHE chases HIM! Things happened in the past and they never got to be together but even after a few years have gone by she knows what she wants and goes after it! He still wants nothing to do with him, but this girl knows they are meant to be and will make sure he knows!

🎧AUDIO REVIEW:
Once again, Thomas Oakley & Elizabeth Hart do an outstanding job performing this Florida East University Series! Their voices are so enjoyable to listen to and fit both of the characters so well! Also, I continue to love Elizabeth’s male voice!! It is so darn good and makes the chapters with the female POV even better! Overall, I highly recommend this whole series on audio!

Book Title: Stealing Bama: Florida East University, #2
Genre: Romance
Tropes: Football, forbidden, enemies to lovers, second chance, emotional, scars

Stealing Bama is the second book in The Florida East University.

Plot: one night in the past, under the bleachers at their high school, Beau/Bama told Mila he loved her. On that same night, tragedy struck, leaving Bama grieving and leaving Alabama in the dead of night.
Two years later, Mila and Bama cross paths again, and he doesn't resemble the Bama she once knew. He's cold and cocky, and his walls are up. Mila is adamant about breaking his walls down, and as much as he knocks her back, she's resilient on her quest.

Thoughts: Oh boy, Bama and Mila's story was emotional. My heart broke for poor Bama and what he'd been through in the past. The Enemies to Lovers and second chance trope was written well.
I have been patiently waiting for Bama's book since series one when he made an appearance.
The tension between the pair and the angst was perfect.

Conclusion: If you love sports romance, enemies to lovers, and second chance tropes, take a chance on Stealing Bama,

Let me just say that I did NOT expect this to be a tear-jerker, but it was. Beau "Bama" Bishop and Mila Hardy have known (and loved) each other their entire life. But one tragic event sends Beau and his family leaving Alabama and their family friends in their rearview.

Mila and Beau are both stubborn as all get out. Mila's done waiting around for Beau and confronts him two years later while he's a freshman at Florida East University, where she coincidentally plans on attending. I freaking love her! She's fierce, a total bada$$ (the girl drag races - and wins A LOT, she also tests, repairs and fixes her car) and she is all about going after what she wants.

Beau, former drag racer and current football legend, is still angry at Mila (and her family) and does his best to push her away. But, c'mon, the guy cannot resist. Once he finally figures it out (and sorts a few demons), he's all in.

Things literally come crashing down and it takes a while for them to rebuild (hence the tears). Dual POV. HEA (and thank you for the extended epilogue - love to see down the road). Great friends/family (loved Dane's book and can't wait for Kye's). Another amazing read from Hannah!!

🌶🌶🌶

This is book 2 of the Florida East University series. Hannah Gray has quickly become an auto-buy author for me. This is her 8th book and I have loved every single one of them. I bet I would get emotional reading her grocery list. I’m ok admitting that.

Beau “Bama” Bishop is one of Florida East University’s most popular football players. After his father’s tragic death during a drag race when Beau was in high school, his family packed up and left, leaving behind the girl he had loved since she was born.

Drag racing superstar Mila never let go of the night Beau told her he loved her under the bleachers before unexpectedly leaving her life. She knew she only had one choice after high school…enroll at FEU and win him back.

I had a feeling I’d fall in love with Bama when we met him in the last book, Playing Dane. Aaaaand I was right. Hannah has a way of writing books that are 1. hot asf 🥵🥵 and 2. have extremely emotional stories that draw you in and keep you there. Bama and Mila never stopped loving each other…even through all the tragedy life threw at them. Like, of course this book had me crying my eyes out more than once because it’s who I am as a person.

Seriously, if you love yourself, you’ll read this book. Thanks to Wordsmith Publicity for providing me with an Advanced Review Copy.

Stealing Bama by Hannah Gray is book 2 from the Florida East University Series. It's an enemies to lovers, brother's best friend, college sports romance. Hannah has quickly become a favorite author of mine and every book she has written has been nothing but excellent.

Her work is thought provoking, emotionally charged and extremely enjoyable to read. Her characters are real, fun, witty and relatable.

Beau "Bama" is a stoic, hunky football player/drag racer suffering from the loss of his father. He's a stubborn thrill seeker hell bent on holding a grudge against the person/family he thought was responsible for his father's death.

Mila is another thrill seeker drag racer who's beautiful inside and out. She's strong and holds her own against the dominating male racers. She's feared, independent and resourceful. She's also determined to worm her way into Bama's heart. She's been in love with him since they were children and she's hell bent on rekindling their blooming love story the day his father was killed. She's set her eyes on him, and she's not letting go.

I love the dynamic between these two characters. Their banter and friction is undeniable and steamy. Their love/hate relationship is one for the books.

Stealing Bama by Hannah Gray has stolen my heart and has reaffirmed her place on my favorite authors list.

Woah… Hannah Gray has a knack for creating book boyfriends that just make you swoon. Bama has my entire heart. Mila and Bama were literally meant for each other from birth. A tragedy tore them apart, but that didn’t stop either of them from continuing to love each other. As they go through many ups and downs, this book will have you laughing, crying and will give you chills. I wanted to BE Mila and wanted to be WITH Bama. The ending of this book, *chefs kiss*. Her ending chapters are always the cherry on top!

The author has a way of presenting her characters in a way that makes you really just love them; when you read her books you aren’t just mindlessly reading a story that’s been written, you’re living that story along with the characters. You’re in those characters heads, you’re feeling the emotions they’re feeling. That’s the sign of a great book!

She done killed it again, friends! Waita go Hannah Gray, keep bringing us those broody, tattooed, protective and all around drool-worthy book boyfriends!

such a great read

You know after reading a book if it was perfectly delivered and this one was! You get some glimpses of Bama and Mila in Dane’s book and while I had a feeling where it was going early on in the book.. nothing prepared me for this story or my reaction to it.

Hannah found a way to pull all my heart strings and Bama.. that man.. he was everything in this story.

In the beginning Beau (aka Bama) is hurting. He is hurting from the loss of his dad, his second family and the woman he loved. Not being able to look past his grief, Beau walked away and didn’t look back.

He was going through life fine. Got into university, kept playing football and found some amazing friends but something was always missing.

Mila has known since day 1 that Beau was meant to be hers. When she is finally in the position to fight for him, she goes all out. No matter how much Bama tells her to go away, she slowly starts to break down his walls.

This is a second chance romance that shows that you need to always fight for your happiness. I always struggle with not going to far because of spoilers but there is so much that needs to be said about this emotional, playful and steamy read.

I am a big fan of Hannah Gray and pretty much love everything she writes. But before I tell y’all how much I enjoyed this book can we take a second and talk about the SMOKING HOT cover?? I mean..y’all!!!! Just dead sexy. Dead. Sexy. And that’s exactly how I picture Bama Bishop: Dead. Sexy. Smoking H-O-T. Ok..moving on..this book is good..very good. It’s a childhood best friends sister-enemies to lovers-soulmates sports romance trope. Mila and Beau, know known as Bama, grew up together and tragedy drove them apart. Mila has never forgotten him or gotten over him and is determined to make him remember. Bama is holding on to a lot of baggage but he can’t seem to escape the girl he’s always loved.

I enjoyed this second book in the Florida East series a lot. I really like the authors writing style and the characters. They had great interactions and definite chemistry. I thought the racing storyline was interesting and really cool that it was the female who was super into it…what a badass! This is just a really good series and I look forward to Kyes book! PS: I really hope we get Cams story some time because I have a feeling he has a lot to say

4 1/2 Star Read. Beau (Bama) and Mila have been friends for nearly their whole lives. Both of their dads were racing drivers, and Bama and Mila grew up together and eventually fell in love when they were older. One day, it was all taken away when both their dads were in a race and had an accident killing Bama's dad. So Bama's family, in their grief, never spoke to Mila's family again and moved away to Florida, where Bama went to college. One day, out of nowhere, Mila turned up back in his life when she came for a college tour. She fell all over in love with Beau again once she saw him. She had missed him so much. Bama, on the other hand, was angry to be seeing her at his college as he had hoped to never see her again in his life. Will Mila persuade Bama to overcome his grief and hate for her and her family and love again? Mila is feisty and won't take no for an answer from Beau; she constantly pushes his buttons. Hannah certainly gives you all the feelings and emotions with this story so have the tissues handy.
I received an arc for my honest review for NNBB. If you love a college sports romance with everything, you will love this book.

Beau “Bama” Bishop is one hell of a man. Mila Hardy however is his weakness but this girl is more badass than anything. Beau & Mila grew up together as neighbors. Their dads are best friends and fierce competitors in the Drag Racing world. Mila has been in love with Beau since she was a little girl and when Beau finally confessed his love for Mila a terrible accident happened. Beau pushed her away and it’s been 2 years since they’ve spoken. Can she remind Beau how much he loves her or will she push him further away?

Now in college Beau is a D1 Athlete. Nicknamed Bama from growing up in Alabama. Focused on going pro and taking care of his mom and sister. Little did he know the girl he has deemed the enemy would show up and force a crack in his armor. Determined to push Mila further away. He must have forgotten how stubborn she is because she refuses to backdown. She is the top Drag Racer and she didn’t get there cowering from a challenge.

Seeing Mila makes Beau miss racing. Swearing off the sport after the incident. Things get complicated. Lines get blurred. Cars Crash. Hearts break. Love Never Dies.

“Get ready, Mi. Because I’m taking all your firsts. Every. Last. One.”

Beau “Bama” Bishop had been best friends with Cam Hardy growing up, and that meant he wasn’t allowed to want his friend’s little sister, Mila. But within an hour of finally confessing his love and being ready to cross that line, tragedy struck and grief drove the Bishops to Florida without another word. Now as Mila is looking to join Beau, now the cocky football player known as “Bama”, at Florida East University, she’s determined to make him face all their unresolved feelings.

I truly sobbed over Mila and Beau and I loved every minute of it. Beau had always been so protective of Mila and it was so heartwarming to watch him heal and finally give himself back over to Mila. Hannah Gray always crafts such fantastic characters and their relationships and the interconnectedness of her worlds is always a highlight. Mila was such a strong, confident lead that my heart broke for her in the moments she felt defeated. Highly recommend this whole series!

“Get ready, Mi. Because I’m taking all your firsts. Every. Last. One.” 😍

Beau “Bama” Bishop and Mila Hardy are pretty much childhood sweethearts, they’ve know one another all their lives. After a horrible accident, Beau and his family leave Alabama and move to Florida.

2 years later Mila is planning on attending Florida East University “coincidentally“ where Beau is a star football player. While scouting out the school Mila just so happens to find herself at the same party Beau is at and their meeting is needless to say tense as hell.

Beau can’t resist his true feelings for Mila and slowly starts to let her back in. Just when things seem to be smooth sailing another unfortunate accident threatens to change the course of everything they have both been fighting for.

When the prologue started out like a damn Disney movie (IYKYK)I knew I was hooked! I was not expecting the emotions I had while reading this amazing book! I loved every page and I can’t wait to read Kye’s story!

I really enjoyed this book. Never read a book where a character was passionate about two careers. Very cool to read about. I love drag racing, and a girl who’s bad a$$ is kudos in my book. The thrill and high of reading the pages of someone going off in a car at major speed, gives me goosebumps. Not a care in the world. Bama is a jerk first off, 😂but you can’t help be attracted to his smart butt. He’s funny, sexy, bad a$$, broken and all around a sweetheart. Those tattoos are a plus. 🥵I know he was just trying to do what he thought was right, but him and Mila were made for each other. Equals I would say. I loved how protective Bama was over Mila. All the scenes when fists went flying had me cracking up. Violence in real life is never the answer they say, but I love how it’s ok to knock out creeps in fiction. (They deserve it) Mila is a firecracker! She knew what she wanted, and would take it by any means necessary. This is my first read from the author, and it won’t be my last.

This is the second book in The Florida East University Series. It is Bama and Mila story and the chemistry is on fire. They have always been in each others lives when something awful happens which causes Beau and his family to leave Alabama also leaving Mila. Mila never let go of the strong connection she had with Beau so what does she do hold right to that and enroll at Florida East University and win him back. She finds Beau haves changed his name to Bama and is now the university’s most popular football player. Oh and let’s not forget one who wants nothing to do with Mila. Mila must fight for him if she want the love of her life back and fight for him she does . I loved that she was determined feisty, strong, and a force to be reckoned with. This was such a well written book filled with so many different emotions. It gives us grief, some healing, lots of challenges. Gives us family, friendships, forgiveness, as well as some tension, and lots of love. Definitely highly recommend book.
