Will anyone make any effort to determine if the visa recipients harbor jihadist sentiments? Of course not. That would be “Islamophobic.”
“Muslim Migrants to Obtain the Majority of Diversity Lottery Visas,” by David North, Center for Immigration Studies, September 22, 2022:
Recently released State Department estimates indicate that a majority of those coming to the U.S. via the Diversity Visa Lottery during the next fiscal year (2023) will be Muslims, despite the fact that adherents of that faith account for less than a quarter of the world’s population..
This is up sharply from the FY 2020 level of about 18 percent, as we reported earlier this year.
Given our government’s reluctance to gather data along religious lines, this information is teased out of statistics dealing with the country of origin of the diversity visa holders. A more precise statement would be that, out of 43,129 expected diversity visas, 21,000 will come from five Muslim-majority nations (Algeria, Egypt, Iran, Morocco, and Uzbekistan), while 22,129 will come from the rest of the world, or so the most recent State Department Visa Bulletin tells us.
Since there are 43 Muslim-majority nations in the balance of the world, most sending us diversity visa holders — and not counted among the five — it is clear that a majority of the lottery visas will go to people living in Muslim nations. These 43 nations sent us 5,746 lottery visa holders in 2020 and include Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, and Syria…
Two heavily Muslim nations, Pakistan and Bangladesh, which used to provide large numbers of Diversity Visa Lottery winners, no longer do so as they have joined the list of major migrant-sending countries and are no longer eligible for the program….

I support Senator Cotton’s RAISE Act, when he proposed it. That should replace Diversity visas, and there should also be restrictions on the family visas that allow for chain migration

Biden likes to say that immigration is what made America great. Yes, it did back in the days when the people coming here had to be strong enough and smart enough to fend for themselves in a harsh and unforgiving wilderness. The weak and the stupid did not survive but the smartest and the strongest did. The strongest and the smartest people in the world built this country. Now, they are gone and the U.S. has become a place for the weakest and the dumbest who can yell the loudest for help and a handout. All things must pass and the old U.S. is gone but the new one is going to pass away even faster than the old one did if things don’t change soon. We have got to get some new leadership in this country who understands what really made America great.

Yes.
Leading the charge should be either Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis.
CogitoErgoSum says
Right, now I would vote for Trump again but DeSantis is looking better with each passing day. Maybe I’m imagining it but Trump is starting to look tired and much older recently. A lot can happen over the next couple of years so right now I am putting my hopes into the Democrats losing control of the House and Senate after this November’s election. It’s got to happen so that the damage Biden is doing can be slowed as much as possible – and he’s done a lot already that probably we will never be able to change. I really do feel that the old America is gone forever but with time I think maybe something as good or better will emerge from the current mess. It will invole some pain and suffering though and a whole lot of people who are here just to live off the labor of others are going to do a tremendous amount of screaming and yelling.

James, CogitoErgoSum,
I’m concerned that the American people are going to prove Albert Einstein’s definition of insanity to be accurate – “Doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.”
We, the people, need to wake up, and elect people in the Congress, the House and the Senate, that will work for what is best for our country and the American people., not for their own personal gain.
This is a list of United States Senators that are up for reelection. My guess… almost everyone on this list will be reelected.
In the House of Representatives, we should see a minimum of 100 incumbents kicked out, sadly, that’s not going to happen.

The U.S. needs immigration. But the free for all policies we have today are disastrous. Criminals and terrorists are just as likely to succeed at becoming “undocumented” immigrants as are the people who will work hard, pay taxes and won’t take handouts. The Biden-Handler presidency is not doing a good job on this front.
Infidel says
As a legal immigrant, I disagree. What the US first needs to do is defund Big Education, get the bulk of the population into all the high demand jobs that are there, from plumbing to IT expertise. Once you have gotten the population as a whole filling most of those jobs, then enable immigration, and that too for those jobs that require the sort of expertise that’s hard to find e.g. Math PhDs who know all the variables involved in bond value evaluations
Essentially, stop lying to our teens & tweens and telling them that they can be anything they wanna be. They’re not gonna get jobs in underwater fire prevention, woke studies and all the other garbage that’s only getting sponsored due to ESG, which is bound to fizzle as companies discover that it doesn’t earn them any real money once government backing dries up. Instead tell them, “These are the jobs available, which ones are you interested in becoming, this is the certification you’ll need”. Then let them loose

Infidel,

You are echoing some of the ideas that Kari Lake, the Republican candidate for Governor of Arizona, mentioned in one of her recent “Ask Me Anything” conferences. She said something like… many of our young men and women do not have to go to college, and incur a large debt, they can go to a trade school, and learn a trade that pays in the six-figure range.
I’m all for “legal immigration” my grandparents, as many others, immigrated to this country, legally. My grandparents arrived in the USA around 1920. They were proud to have arrived in America, the land of opportunity, and even more so, when they became citizens of the United States of America.
They, like so many others who immigrated to this country, made the most of that opportunity. They put their nose to the grindstone, worked hard, learned the language, although grandmom, at times could be a challenge, I would look at my mom or dad with that, help, what did grandmom just say, look?
These immigrants went through some very difficult times, like, the Great Depression, that started in 1929. An associate of mine tells the story of how poor his family was, at Christmas, their tree was a single branch pinned to the wall.
In many ways, these people grew stronger for all the hardships they had to endure. It was the contribution of these legal immigrants, that helped make this country the great country it once was and, no longer is.
We are not taking care of our own, we are adding to an existing problem by allowing millions of people to cross our border illegally. It seems to me, this influx will only make the issues we are currently dealing with, much worse.
Issues… like the poor, the homeless, the drug problem and the men and women who served their country in the Middle East and, came back broken, both mentally and physically. These men and women that seem to have been thrown under the bus by the very Government that put them in harms ways
The Apostle Paul said:

One Christmas, I received a bottle of cheap hand lotion. We got one pair of shoes a year, and two or three *outfits*…shirts and pants, or blouse and skirt….for school. the rest of the time, we wore hand-me-downs that may not fit right, or got them from other relatives who ran out of kids small enough. for their kids’ used stuff.
Our toys were what we could make…out of empty thread spools or ten cans. or whatever we could dream up. We had a tire swing, and we played outdoor games. of hide and seek, and chase, etc.
and we worked hard…hard work, raising crops and farm animals. We ate what we grew and had many meatless meals. And I would choose that life over what kids have today…cell phones and pc’s and being shot at, and all that goes with what is happening…being force-fed the ‘gender’ stuff and make to feel stupid for not agreeing.
If people don’t want to work, they should do without. and I’m not referencing those who are disabled or ill to the point that they cannot work. And lawbreakers should face the consequences. that includes crossing here without permission….legal permission, not just biden’s way.

Half of 2023’s Diversity Visas to be given to migrants from Muslim countries
…………………………………
How insane is this? This would make little sense just statistically, given that Muslims do not make up even a quarter of the world’s population. Add to this the threat that Islam presents to the US and the rest of the West and this makes even less sense. Who is distributing these visas, and what criteria are they using?

Sounds suicidal and asking for it. A repeat of what is going on in France – creating then strengthening a 5th column in America. Diversity visas to Islamic countries and devotees of this dangerous cult should be removed in light of what Biden did in Kabul. Why would you give visas to a cult that clearly and passionately hate infidels and the non-Muslim country they migrate to – except to undermine it.

Muslim migration never made any nation great. The only contribution it gives to the present and future generations of a non-Muslim host country is planting – the seeds of strife… permanently.
