Emma & Eli’s story is a quick read, and as such it’s missing a lot of depth. There’s about a 60 hour timeframe between them being encouraged to hang out together in the midst of their mutual friends’ pre-wedding activities and the “I love yous”. Lots of typos and editing issues as well.

I loved reading this fun novella: a Halloween-themed wedding, a little drama, and lots of steam. Kissing Creek is the perfect small-town backdrop for EG and Eli to get to know each other as they help their friends prepare for their wedding.

This quick read is part of a larger series with multiple authors. This book follows Emma and Eli. She's a reporter who reports on baseball player Eli. When they meet in a quirky small town for a halloween themes wedding, sparks fly immediately. I loved the build up for them as well as the drama. I loved all the diverse characters. This was a fun halloween read that is not paranormal. Lots of fun reading.
