The unbalanced positive coverage of CAIR in Minnesota and around the country is a serious problem.
News anchor Leah McLean introduces this story about Amazon accommodating its Muslim employees by saying “the changes come after years of complaints and frustrations from workers.”
KSTP tells us that several protests influenced Amazon to provide the new accommodations; then we pivot to Jaylani Hussein of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), who then tells us that Amazon is “beginning” to recognize the value of their employees. So this is just the beginning of more demands to come, if Jaylani Hussein has any say in the matter.
It is hard not to notice a sense of resentment in this news segment.
That is to be expected if Jaylani Hussein is included in the broadcast.
KSTP makes Jaylani Hussein look as if he brought about the accommodations. Jaylani Hussein’s role in the Amazon accommodations may be peripheral at best. The coverage he received nonetheless is part of a pattern of news broadcasts featuring CAIR despite the fact that the issue at hand had nothing to do with CAIR or its mission.
Jaylani Hussein has suffered no ill effects from abusing his media access by:
- Cheering on the George Floyd race riots.
- Comparing Dolal Idd to George Floyd.
- Calling for the firing of a Starbucks employee for a misspelling on a Starbucks cup.
- Calling for the firing of Ramona Dohman after the Winston Smith shooting.
- Calling for the firing of three city employees after the shooting of Daunte Wright.
- Calling for the firing of Ty Sharpe for mocking Ilhan Omar.
- Calling for the firing of Bob Kroll.
- Getting McDonald’s managers fired right before Christmas.
- Blaming innocent people for the bombing of Dar al Farooq Islamic center.
- Wanting to call police on someone during Super Eid.
- Declaring that he is part of a revolution.
- Rabble rousing at the memorial for Jamar Clark.
There has been no balanced coverage of CAIR anywhere in the country in almost the last six years.
CAIR uses the favorable coverage it receives from KSTP and other network affiliates around the country to get on TV again and attack more people.
Here are some examples from just the past few days:
- News12 in New Jersey goes to CAIR for quotes about a story that has absolutely nothing to do with them.
- CAIR was on TV twice condemning racist fliers that don’t mention Muslims.
- Watch CAIR upstage the actual people fighting hunger in Texas.
- CAIR is on TV getting upset over the word “squaw.”
- TV coverage of CAIR’s New York report claims 64% of Muslims in New York City have experienced a hate crime, when in actuality, this claim is based on the experiences of only 295 people.
There are many other examples of CAIR manipulating the media.
It is worse than just that, because CAIR uses its astonishing media access to attack individual working-class Americans every month.
There are over 100 examples of CAIR representatives doing this over the last five and a half years.
Notable examples include:
- CAIR had ABC affiliate WSB defame a sitting judge to influence a legal decision. Even after CAIR’s client received a favorable decision on appeal, and Judge Dickson stepped down from the bench to take a lower paying job in another city, CAIR had the TV station follow her there and broadcast its demand that the city fire her from that position as well.
- CAIR turned the town of Dearborn against Bill Larion for using the word “camels” in a Facebook post. ABC affiliate WXYZ was a willing participant in Larion’s persecution.
- CAIR turned the town of Toms River, New Jersey against Dan Leonard for mocking and scoffing at Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Sharia law. CAIR did nothing to calm the situation even after Leonard’s daughter received rape threats.
- CAIR used a rumor on social media to get on TV four times and call for a teacher’s termination while she was under police protection.
- CAIR got on TV multiple times, on several channels, to turn Ohio Muslims against Roman Iqbal.
CAIR clearly hates white people: 99% of the people CAIR attacks on TV are white.
There is absolutely no question now that TV stations, including KSTP, are promoting, protecting, and facilitating CAIR in its attacks on people.
This is despite compelling evidence that CAIR does NOT represent the Muslim community.
A 2011 Gallup poll found only 12% of American Muslims think CAIR represents them.
Consider CAIR’s defamation lawsuit against Lori Soraya and her response to it, followed by CAIR subsequently dropping its suit. Ms Soraya is a Muslim and was a co-founder of the Minnesota chapter of CAIR. She completely showed up CAIR and exposed it for what it is. Yet she is receiving no TV coverage. Instead, Minnesota stations continue to put Jaylani Hussein on TV, even after he was seen inciting the public over Jacob Blake.
This is the twelfth letter I have sent to KSTP about CAIR in the past two years. Nevertheless, the station just keeps putting them on. It is all part of the crisis in journalism that has told us that the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinfo, that the George Floyd riots were mostly peaceful, that Jan. 6 was an “insurrection,” that the COVID shots are a vaccine, that Donald Trump is a Russian agent, and that CAIR is a civil rights organization.
“Muslim advocates encouraged by ‘inclusive’ spaces at new Amazon site,” by Ben Henry, KSTP, October 10, 2022:
With its newly opened facility in Woodbury, Amazon can now deliver packages more efficiently in the east metro. The location is also the company’s most accommodating to date for its employees from Minnesota’s Somali community….
Advocates have been by employees’ sides over the years, including Minnesota’s Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MN).
“Amazon, when they initially came to Minnesota, they hired a lot of Muslims and they seemed to not really understand how to accommodate their diverse workforce,” Jaylani Hussein, executive director for CAIR-MN, said.
Hussein said he’s encouraged to learn about the accommodations and hopeful for the future.
“I think Amazon, since I would say in the past four or five years, has done a really great job of beginning to recognize the value that they say about their employees, but placing that also in creating inclusive spaces,” Hussein said….

They’ll eventually shoot up the facility in which they are employed. As they did in San Bernardino and so many other places around the world.
This faith, and it’s practitioners, are a cancer. It/they must be treated as such forthwith.
