The Billionaire's Obsession #18

Billionaire Unclaimed: Chase

Rate this book
She's an investigative journalist in trouble. He's a billionaire CEO who has sworn off women for the foreseeable future, but has the ability to save her. They're two people who belong together and never really recognize it until the unthinkable happens!

I've known Chase Durand since childhood. He's drop-dead gorgeous, sophisticated, ridiculously wealthy, and wildly intelligent. Unfortunately, he's also my best friend's brother and completely unattainable for me. Always has been, even though I've had some kind of idiotic attraction to him for the last decade.

I can't say that Chase and I are really...friends. We're more like friendly adversaries whenever we meet up as adults.

Sure, he still treats me like an honorary sibling, just like his own little sister. Regrettably, I haven't seen him in that light since I graduated from college, and probably never will again, so I avoid him as often as possible.

Until the day that I just can't ignore the way I feel anymore.

Until the day he literally saved my life in a way I never would have believed possible if it hadn't personally happened to me.

Until the day I realize that there's so much more to Chase Durand than the cocky, brilliant, unbelievably hot billionaire that people see on the surface.

Until the day I see the pain he's always tried to hide from the rest of the world.

After all that, we're much too close to go back to the way we used to be. He's healed my body and my psyche. I can't walk away from Chase until I unravel the enigmatic man and do the same for him, even if it costs me both my heart and my soul in the process...

***Author Note: This is a billionaire romance with a friends to lovers and best friend's brother trope. If you like protective hero romance and rescue romance with a strong heroine, this might be the book for you. I highly recommend starting with Hudson's story, California #1 in The Billionaire's Obsession series since Hudson, Jax, Cooper and Chase are all related. Happy Reading!***

Tearing down the walls erected to protect vulnerable hearts leads to true love and the start of a whole new chapter in Chase and Savannah’s lives

Readers take time out of your busy holiday schedule to make way for the newest Durand to heat up the pages of my most beloved guilty pleasure and hopefully one of yours, a great romance. We got glimpses of this billionaire bad ass and his strength and willingness to dive into the deep end and help those in need in Cooper and Victoria’s story with Chase’s connection to Last Hope, a secret organization that strategizes rescues and goes where others cannot. As Victoria’s brother, Chase grew up loving his sister and seeing her best friend, Savanna Anderson as another little sister, but she is all grown up now and a kick ass foreign correspondent who also dives into the deep end of trouble to bring the truth to light. When circumstances throw these two strong and vibrant individuals together, the sexual attraction and friendship that grows into so much more allows the reader to step into a beautiful story and sensual romance where two strong and dynamic characters finally realize that for the right one looking past your own insecurities and tearing down your walls to let love touch your heart can be the beginning of beautiful new chapter. As the colder weather begins to set in, grab this great book and warm your heart. Happy reading.

Savannah is an investigative reporter who reports on the hardest of life's punches. She is best friends with Torie, who is Chase's little sister. Unfortunately, Savannah ends up becoming kidnapped while on assignment. Luckily for her, her best friend's brother is ex-military and willing to put his life on the line to save her.

Chase is a billionaire, who is in love with his kid sister's best friend. It wasn't always that way but after seeing the woman she grew into he can't resist her. After helping her with the most traumatic event in her life he realizes he needs her just as much as she needed him.

J.S. Scott never disappoints. I love her ability to relate characters to real life and events. Her ability to bring them to life keeps me reading. Their heartfelt attraction and vulnerability kept me reading to the very end. Wonderful story.

Billionaire Unclaimed: Chase was the eighteenth book in the Billionaire’s Obsession book by JS Scott. It was the fourth book in her California Billionaire series.

I’ve taken a break from formal reviews for a while, but a couple quick thoughts: I enjoyed both characters, Chase and Savanah. I also enjoyed the suspense and rescue vibe as well as the overall storyline. It was a quick read with a few emotional points but an overall “feel goods” read.

I absolutely LOVED this story!!
There's so much I want to say but it's all spoiler-y! LOL
Well written & draws you in, gets you 100% invested, equal parts intense & sweet.
I pretty much devour anything by J.S. Scott & this one was no exception - not your typical friends-to-lovers type read.

I received an ARC from the author, but all thoughts are my own & left voluntarily!

I don’t know if everything is seeming the same for me or if I’m just slowly getting bored of the subject matter but to me, this had a slow start. It was hard for me to get through the beginning because it was similar to what I’ve read in the past two books. What I did like about this one is Chase actually runs the rescue for Savannah so you get her recovery included in a big portion of the story. He takes on the advisor role like Jax did and is there for her in her most vulnerable times. He tries to be her friend first but soon the attraction becomes too much for Savannah and Chase so they eventually give into it and much quicker than it happened in the last two books. However, even though the first half included the rescue and Savannah’s recovery, the second strictly focuses on the growing relationship between Savannah and Chase. This is when the book starts gaining more interest for me. Chase struggles with how to act or treat Savannah and thinks she wants space, but Torie is saying otherwise that she doesn’t want to be by herself even though she may show that. What entails is Chase opening up more and re-visiting his appreciation for the finer things and showing her a good time which he said in the beginning of this story that he lost this part of himself. Savannah helps him get it back with encouragement from Torie. As the book continues, we see Chase discover his playful and fun side again until Savannah loses her job due to how she looks after her kidnapping and she is broken about it. Chase gets wind of this and from there he shows his vulnerable side and the big secret Torie talks about regarding him is revealed. All of a sudden, the story becomes more profound and we regain that meaning and emotion that I didn’t feel since Jax’s story. Chase gets vulnerable and you understand where he’s coming from and this sets off a whirlwind romance between him and Savannah. They just couldn’t deny the attraction and emotion they felt about each other. What ensues is an emotional intimacy between them and an understanding that only the two of them can get. I loved this part of the story and I was glad this was the focus in the second half and her struggles in the beginning become almost nonexistent until another event happens and the relationship takes a step back on Chase’s end. His agony about Savannah and how he feels gets explored but winds up pushing her away at the same time. In this part of the story, Wyatt and Torie talk to both of them separately to try to make them see reason and understanding about why things are the way they are and to essentially not give up on the relationship. In the end, what you get is a touching story with a slower start and this is why I had to give this a 4, I couldn’t get past the beginning. Moving on to Wyatt, it seems like we’re taking a step back from rescue and survival and going back to a common trope of enemies to lovers, which I am completely here for. Wyatt is another man I want to see lose his cynicism, much like Cooper did.

Billionaire Unclaimed: Chase (Billionaire’s Obsession #18) was everything I hoped it would be. Billionaire Unclaimed: Chase is the story of Chase Durand and Savannah (Vanna) Anderson. Chase is Torie’s (Billionaire Unnoticed: Cooper) brother. Vanna is Torie’s best friend since childhood, so she has grown up with Torie’s brothers also. Vanna has secretly been in love with Chase for quite a while. Vanna is an investigative reporter and travels for her job to places in the world most people stay away from, all in order to bring light to the wrongs that are happening in these places. Their story begins at Cooper and Torie’s wedding in Las Vegas. Vanna is trying to stay away from Chase too afraid he might pick up on her feelings for him. Chase, well, he is noticing for the first time what a remarkable and beautiful woman Vanna has turned into. He is hoping to spend time with her and explore his newfound feelings for her. When he asks her to spend time with him, she shoots him down and quickly leaves. She would love to spend time with him, but knows he does not feel the same, and this would break her heart. Chase, who is hiding a secret, does not blame her for running away because who would want to spend time with him? Vanna goes missing while on the job, and Torie gathers her brothers, Chase, Cooper and Wyatt, along with friend and founder of the secret organization Lost Hope, Marshall, to find her. Torie’s brothers belong to the secret organization, and Torie is an advisor for them. Chase volunteers to go rescue Vanna because he needs her to be safe, and Wyatt joins him. Chase stays with Vanna the entire time she is in the hospital and then has her staying with him at his house while she recuperates. By this time Torie and Wyatt have figured out that Chase has feelings for Vanna, and that Vanna has feelings for Chase. Their storying of going from friends to lovers starts here. I felt so many emotions with these two. When Chase reveals his secret to Vanna, it was so beautiful to see their bond strengthen. There was no denying the chemistry between these two. There is also some action and suspense going on involving Wyatt, Chase and Vanna. All the books in this series are perfectly written, each story different, so they can be read as a standalone, but as characters are recurring in some of the series, you should really start with The Billionaire’s Obsession: Simon (Book #1). Towards the end of Chase and Vanna’s story, there is a snippet to Wyatt’s story, and I cannot wait until that comes out. I received an ARC of this book, and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is a good romance, with a likable couple. I loved how Chase was determined to help Vanna, and did whatever he could to help her recover completely. This one gets 4 stars from me.

I liked Chase -- he was so good to Vanna, and was so sweet about helping her deal with the PTSD from her kidnapping. He was bossy at times, but for the most part she saw thru that to the caring man underneath. She did get angry at him some, but realized that his bossiness came from his desire to protect her.

I liked Vanna, too, but I did think her quick recovery from the trauma she suffered was a bit unrealistic. I get that Chase got her the best therapist and help, but trauma like that takes most people a LONG time to overcome -- and some victims never completely recover. I did like that she knew Chase was a good guy, and could be trusted.

One thing bothers me about all of the books I've read by this author. and that is way too much use of the f*** word -- which I absolutely hate. There is no reason why that word should be used so much, but it is in almost every conversation the characters have, and often in their thoughts, too.

My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

I love J.S. Scott Books. Hope you will read it and enjoy reading it too💖💖💖💖🤰🤰

“More than okay,” I answered with a small nod. “I’m just wondering how I ever got lucky enough to not feel lonely when I’m in a crowd of people anymore. Even when you’re not with me physically, you’re still with me, Chase. Everywhere I go.” Keeping one arm tightly around my waist, he lifted my hand and kissed the beautiful wedding ring on my finger. He then entwined our fingers before resting them over his chest. “You know I feel the same way,” he replied, his expression deadly serious as he thumped our conjoined hands against his heart. “You’re always right here, Vanna. No matter where I am. I’m the luckiest guy on Earth because you’re mine. Don’t think for a fucking second that I don’t know that. There was never really anyone else for me except you.” I smiled because I felt that rightness, too, and I felt no compulsion to make sense out of that knowledge. It was just…there. All I’d really needed to do was open my heart to him. Since I’d done that, Chase Durand had rocked my entire world. “Kiss me,” he demanded hoarsely. “And then I’ll introduce you to the Louvre. I think I can keep my horny ass in check long enough to show my woman the masterpieces.” “You’ve introduced me to so many wonderful things,” I told him. “You might eventually get bored if we keep going to places you’ve been before.” He shook his head. “Never. I could never be bored when we’re doing anything together. And we’ll find some places to discover together someday. Right now, my main goal is to see you happy.” “I’m very happy as long as we’re together, too,” I assured him. I leaned down and kissed him, my heart racing as our lips met. The Louvre could wait another moment or two. Chase was and always would be my number one priority. We had a lifetime of experiences to share in our future, but none of them would ever be more important than what I was doing with the man that I loved right this very second. ~The End~

Billionaire Unclaimed: Chase is a slow-burn, friends-to-lovers thrilling romance. Savannah is Chase’s sister’s best friend and has been for most of their lives. Savannah has had a crush on Chase for most of her life, but Chase has only recently seen something in Savannah he’d like to explore. Surprised when she shuts him down to spend time together, Chase figures that’s it. When Savannah goes missing in the jungle of Panama, Chase, and his older brother Wyatt volunteer to go in after her. Chase just HAS to make sure Savannah is safe, even if he can never be with her.

After the rescue and once back home Chase and Savannah’s relationship starts to grow. This is quintessential J.S. Scott. I love the interaction between the two, it is witty, expressive, and humorous. There is more action and suspense in their lives as Savannah begins the journey to overcome her kidnapping, and the angst is at the perfect amount of ‘heart-wrenching’ pull at our emotions. Ms. Scott brings out the realness in these characters through the visible and invisible scars they have endured. I was captivated from the beginning by their story and liked these two together immensely. They really do understand each other. The connection they have is natural and explosive. I really enjoyed the strength that Savannah shows with her chosen profession, her ordeal in the jungle, and in her relationship with Chase. Chase is the type of hero I like. While being used to getting whatever he wants with little effort, he isn’t about to let Savannah slip through his fingers again. He’s protective and compassionate as well as affectionate and a little bit dirty.

Ms. Scott always, always, gives me a great read with wonderful characters and an emotional ride. I loved the tease for Wyatt’s book and have that on my pre-order list. I received an arc of this book from the author, and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Billionaire Unclaimed: Chase is the 4th book in the
California Billionaires series and 18th in The Billionaires Obsession series. While it can be read as a standalone book, I highly recommend the whole series. I love how this author pulls you in from page one, keeps you hooked as the crisis evolves and shows you that love really can conquer all. Truly one of my favorite series published in any genre and worthy of rereading. Alpha men who give their all for their "one" and strong, capable women who love them but won't be run over by their dominant personality.

This series started with the Montgomery brothers, all three who are married now. Then it moved to Torie Durand who has also found the love of her life with the last single Montgomery brother in the last book in this series. This book opens on their wedding. Savannah is Torie's best friend since they were kids. Chase and Wyatt are her older brothers. Savannah has had a crush on Chase for years. She is usually busy traveling the world and recording as an investigative reporter for a cable news show. She tries to keep her distance from Chase so things aren't awkward if her true feelings shine through. Chase is just noticing Vannah as more than his little sister's best friend and an honorary member of the Durand family.

Vannah is kidnapped while reporting on children at risk in the Darién Gap, Central America. All the Montgomery brothers and the Durand bothers are ex special forces military. They now work for their family businesses, but also a private company called Last Hope, that runs rescues the government can't get involved in officially. Chase and Wyatt go to rescue Savannah. Will they get there in time? Will she be able to move beyond what her abductors put her through trying to human traffic her? Will she and Chase get closer as a result of their time together? Enjoy this page turner and find out!

The beginning of the book pulled me in and had me thinking this relationship was going to move forward with maybe Chase and Savannah hiding it from his siblings. Then it took a dive. Insecurity reared its ugly head.

The kidnapping plot was intriguing. I wish there had been more to that plot. The intensity leveled up. I was looking for details regarding what steps were taken, what needed to be done to end things successfully. I didn't get any of that. Then it was over. The book was actually a bit of a rollercoaster ride. The story picked up, then dipped, then picked up outside the restaurant, (another plot I found interesting) then dipped again.

I dislike it when the main characters go through the "he/she would never want me" insecurity issue. That is the biggest turn off for me. I freely admit this is my own issue. It seems to occur frequently in romance books for some reason. I did not understand why Savannah felt that way at the very beginning of the book.

I did understand Savannah feeling that way after what happened to her. I am just tired of (especially with women) the insecurity issue. The woman who decides the male MC could not possibly want her because he is so rich, so gorgeous, so muscular, so......whatever. Forget that the woman is intelligent, independent, and self sufficient. That thought process takes me completely out of the story.

I listened to the audiobook. The narration was ok. The tone of voice of both narrators was very calm, soothing, kind of tame. It wasn't bad, but I didn't pick up on much emotion.

One thing I have to give Chase and Savannah was that with help from their friends and siblings, they figured out they needed to communicate to reach their HEA. I would give this 3.5 stars. I also would recommend you read or listen to this book and judge for yourself.

I voluntarily listened to and reviewed this audiobook.

Billionaire Unclaimed is the 4th Book in the California Billionaires series.
I received an ARC for an honest review

Chase and Savannah have known each other all their lives. Savannah (Vanna) is the best friend of Chase’s sister Torie. Vanna has always looked up to Chase and she was always considered an honorary little sister to Chase and his older brother Wyatt. But for a while, Vanna has had different feelings for Chase more than just as her best friend's older brother. She has started to stay away from Chase as much as possible because of these feelings, but it is getting more difficult. After Torie and Cooper’s wedding, a moment alone with Chase brings those feelings out into the open.

Chase Durand is a billionaire who feels a lot of guilt because of what happened to his sister Torie, but he is finally moved forward since his sister has found love and happiness with his friend Cooper. Chase has always thought of his sister's friend Vanna as a member of the family one night at his sister's wedding Chase is confused because he sees Vanna in a different way but does not realize what those feelings are until something happens to Vanna while she is on assignment as an investigative journalist.

Chase will stop at nothing to find Vanna and figure out how deep those new feelings are for her, but Chase is hiding a secret of his own. It is the reason he has become solitary, and he worries if Vanna will be able to accept it.

This is a book with action, romance, and steam, with a lot of emotion. Both characters have been through a lot and need healing it's a love story you won't regret reading.

Billionaire Unclaimed: Chase
California Billionaires, Book 4 (The Billionaire's Obsession, Book 18)
By: J. S. Scott
Narrated by: Elizabeth Powers, Dexter Collins

This is my first book in the Billionaire's Obsessions series and I am wondering what took me so long to listen! This is a wonderfully, swoony, sister's best friend, friend to lovers story. Chase and Savannah have known each other forever and finally realized at a wedding there was more than just kids to their relationship. But Vanna, being the insecure woman she is didn't ever think the handsome, successful Chase would ever be interested in a boot wearing, traveling investigative reporter. But when she is kidnapped, all things come to surface. With Chase now keeping her safe, would they give into their feelings? And is she really safe? JS Scott had me from the beginning. I love the best friend's brother trope as there is always history behind their friendships which makes things cohesive. Vanna is a strong woman, and I love how even though her previous relationships broke her down, Chase is able to fill her back up. Chase is so swoony! How can anyone resist this man? Humble, smart, good looking, he is the whole package. This is a great listen and I loved it.

Elizabeth Powers always gives a phenomenal performance and this is not exception. She understands Savannah and gives her a vulnerability inside her strength. Dexter Collins has a warm voice, and I feel like I can hear him smiling as he pursues Vanna. I enjoyed their collaboration and loved listening to this book.

This book begins at the wedding of Cooper and Torie who is Chase’s sister Torie and Savannah childhood best friend. After the wedding Chase offers Savannah to spend time together but she declines even though she has had a crush on him for years.
Move forward a few months later when Vanna is kidnapped in Panama when doing an investigative report on the Darien Gap which is a route used by immigrants which presents extreme physical challenges and dangers when crossing.
When Torie is unable to reach Vanna for several days, Torie seeks Marshall’s help who can somewhat confirm that she was kidnapped by an organized crime ring which it known for human trafficking.
Like the Montgomery brothers, the Durand brothers are also ex-military special forces and members of Last Hope. Chase is one of the few helicopter pilots for Last Hope, who used to be SOAR night stalker aviator. Chase and his brother Wyatt volunteer to go to rescue Savanna.
Upon return to Vanna is staying with Chase who becomes her advisor to help her through the trauma she has experienced. During this time of them living together will they be able to realize their feelings for each other? Will they be able to overcome their fears?
This book can be read as a standalone book. However, I highly recommend not only the entire series, but all the books written by this author, you will not be disappointed, she drags you into her stories which have strong heroines and the Alpha males.
We also get a sneak peek of the Wyatt’s story which is the next book in the series, cant wait for his story.

Savannah is an investigative reporter out doing a story when she disappears taken by locale traffickers. Thankfully she has friends in high places they raise the warning to rescue her even when no one is really sure what happened.
When chase hears that Vanna has been take. He doesn’t hesitate to out himself in the front line to get her back. Not really sure what it means she just needs her safe.

Chase and Vanna have been friends for years thriving chase’s sister but Vanna has never had only friendly thoughts towards Chase. When chase starts to realize his feelings have changed from the friend to much more he starts to hold on to Vanna not wanting to let her go.

This is a cute story and has the typical part where the 2 characters dance around each other and then give into the fact they are in love with each other but don’t admit it yet. Then there is a scary moment that has chase pulling back to protect Vanna. She gets mad confronts him and he folds like a stack of cards (he was about there even without her confronting him).

Chase and Vanna certainly get their HEA in this friends ti lovers type story. They are cute even if you can predict some of the story chase has just enough to keep you coming back to see what he will do next.

Billionaire Unclaimed - Chase is book 18 in The Billionaire's Obsession series.

Savannah (Vanna) is best friends with Torie, Chase Durand's younger sister. She has secretly been in love with Chase for quite some time.

Vanna is an investigative journalist who travels to places other people know to stay away from so she can make people aware of the horrible things that are happening in these places. Unfortunately, while on assignment she gets kidnapped.

Chase is a billionaire, who is in love with his sister's best friend. It wasn't always that way as he always thought of her as another sister, but after seeing the woman she has now become, his feelings have changed and he can't resist her.

Chase and his brother Wyatt are ex-military and part of Last Hope, a secret organisation that helps kidnap victims when the government can't do anything. As they have known Vanna for years they are both willing to put their lives on the line to run the mission to rescue her, especially Chase.

After helping Vanna get over this traumatic event he realizes he needs her just as much, if not more than she needs him.

J S Scott will always get 5 stars from me. Her books are amazing and she is one of my auto buy authors.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. I absolutely loved these two. Savannah Anderson is Torie Montgomery’s best friend and sister to Chase and Wyatt Durand. The Durand family is owners of a very high-end luxury brand. Chase and Wyatt recently moved the Durand Headquarters back to San Diego. The brothers are also close friends with the Montgomery family and a part of Last Hope.

Savannah finds herself in need of Last Hope’s rescue services after reporting the jungles of Panama. Chase and Savannah have always liked each other but never knew the feeling could be mutual. Chase learns that he will risk his life to save Savannah once it is discovered that she is missing.

Similar to the last few books in this series, readers hearts will be pounding as Savannah’s life hangs in the balance. Once Chase gets Savannah in his arms, he knows he can never let her go. These two both have issues and readers will wonder if they will be able to get past them to come together.

I can’t wait to read Wyatt’s story. This grumpy brother definitely has something going on the readers will love to uncover.

“Billionaire Unclaimed” is a heartfelt and vulnerable romance between two people who have known each other for most of their lives but have some walls built around their hearts.

Savannah is an investigative reporter and has always been Chase’s little sister’s best friend. But when she needs help, Chase is the first to step up and help her. But as the two spend more time together, feelings that have been simmering underneath start to surface.

Chase and Savannah’s story was sweet, steamy and so vulnerable. I loved how both were able to open up with each other’s support. Both have been through a bunch of traumatic things that could have gone a different way for them. But with the support they provided each other, they were able to come out as better people. Chase is so caring and protective but without being too overwhelming. His heart is always in the right spot even if he tends to hide behind the wall he built around himself long ago. I loved Savannah’s career choice and how she didn’t shy away from the hard topics. These two together were sweet and I enjoyed their story.

While on assignment for work Savannah Anderson is kidnapped and beaten. As she is the best friend of their baby sister, Chase and Wyatt Durand rescue her with the help of Last Hope, a secret organization just for this purpose. While healing from her injuries at Chase’s home, he figures out she is the woman he wants in his life forever. As they get to know each other as adults and fall in love, a new threat shows up when they least expect it. They then have to decided if they are safer together or apart.

J S Scott writes the best romance stories about billionaire men and their road to happy ever after. These guys are the type that don’t think they need anyone in their lives until the right one comes along. Billionaire Unclaimed is another hit for this author about the rocky road to love between two people who are perfect for each other. This story has a good plot, is easy to read with very likable characters. I thoroughly enjoyed book 4 in this series and look forward to Wyatt’s story!

Another great read in this long running Billionaires Obsession series. I loved the dynamics between Chase and Savannah. The fact they had known each other since childhood, and Chase had always looked out for Savannah, purely as his little sisters best friend, was sweet. Not until much later as adults did secret feelings develop on both sides. It took quite awhile for those secret feelings to be revealed, but when they were, Chase and Savannah made a lovely couple. I loved this book but…. just found it a little too similar to Coopers and Jaks stories. I love the whole “Last Hope” connection in the books, but by the same token I think keeping that connection in makes it difficult to get away from “just another kidnapping story”. I’m looking forward to reading Wyatt’s story, but hoping the plot is different enough from the previous books to keep my interest. Overall, this book is still well worth the read.

This is a slow burn that turns scorching. Savannah is an independent fireball who knows how to take care of herself but even her BFF knows that's just a cover for a caring, wonderful, loving woman who has been burned way too many times. Chase, her long-time crush and BFF's older brother, is everything see dreams of sometimes to distraction, but she's convinced he only sees her as a little sister. He's convinced she isn't interested after she blows off his invitation during his sisters' wedding. As all love stories go, time passes true feeling don't disappear and when Savannah's in trouble Chase is on his way with his cape firmly in place. Caring about and for turn into talks and revelations about feelings and desires and ultimately love. It's a HEA that everyone saw coming because these two were not as undercover with their looks of longing during the wedding as they thought. This is classic J.S. Scott, a bit predictable, but worth the read.

Savannah doesn’t hesitate to travel to the most dangerous places to expose the truth that others need to know through her career as a reporter. She has had feelings for her best friend’s brother Chase for as long as she can remember but it is only when he is there for her when she needs someone the most that she realizes they could be more than friends.

Savannah has always been part of Chase’s life but lately he has begun to see her as a woman he wants to know rather than his sister’s best friend. When he finds out she is in danger he doesn’t hesitate to rescue her and bring her home but now he needs to convince her that this is not the end but the beginning despite all the challenges they face.

This is a romantic and emotional story as Savannah and Chase help each other heal from the past as they realize what has been missing in their lives and fight for the happiness that they both deserve.

Although Vanna has a major crush on Chase she thinks he sees her as just his sister’s best friend. She couldn’t be far wrong. When she gets kidnapped, she never expected her rescuer would be Chase. He’s determined to protect and care for her during her recovery. Bringing her into his home is easy, keeping his desire for her under wraps isn’t. However he has his own demons. When Vanna uncovers the real Chase their relationship will change forever. No matter how intense their feelings become, can they really escape the past and embrace the future they both so desperately desire?
Vanna and Chase – these two damaged souls, with a burning need to claim each other are about to become each others’ heroes. With a few bumps on the way and the hilarious relationship advice form both Chase’s siblings, especially Wyatt, get ready for an emotional roller coaster of a story.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we get Savannah Anderson & Chase Durand. Chase and Savannah have known each other since Savannah was little. The reason for this is you see Savannah is Torie's best friend and they have been together since they were little. The one thing though that has changed since they were all little is the crush Savannah has had on Chase. At his sister's wedding he tries hitting on the beautiful Savannah but Chase gets shot down and believes she doesn't want him. Even when people tell him she wants him too for some reason he just can't believe it. Can these two find a HEA before others make sure that never happens?

Another amazing story by this author. J.S. Scott needs to be on your permanent must own list and this book will not disappoint. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Billionaire Unclaimed J S Scott is book 4 in the California Billionaires and book 18 in The Billionaire's Obsession Series. This is the story of Chase Durand and Savanna Anderson. I have read the previous books, which I think helps to fully enjoy this book. Savanna is a investigative reporter and a foreign correspondent. Savanna ends up getting kidnapped when she is in the jungle of the Panama doing a story. Torie is Savanna's best friend and her brothers where in Special OPS / military. So, her brother Chase volunteers to go along with Wyatt to look for her. Savanna always had a crush on Chase but he always treated her like a little sister but this brings them into a different path in their relationship. This also shows them sides to each other they didn't know. Loved this book and series. I highly recommend this author's writing.

This book was AMAZING and well worth the wait! Chase and Savannah have known each other for a very long time and it was an amazing journey to watch how the two of them learned that their friendship developed into something deeper. Obviously Last Hope was involved and I love how each book allows for the hero to introduce Last Hope to his significant other. It also shows the trials that each couple goes through to reach happily ever after.

I've come to expect the unexpected from J.S. Scott and she did not disappoint. As I thought they were finally hitting their happily ever after, their happiness was thrown for a loop and the two of them had to get past that initial barrier to truly be honest and happy.

This is definitely a book I plan to revisit and I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

Billionaire Unclaimed is a new book I am officially obsessed with. Chase has been introduced to us in previous books. But this story can be read as a stand alone. I have loved this series for years to come and was so excited over this story.

Chase and Vanna have known each other as friends. Vanna is the friend to his sister as well. So my heart was full of giddiness for these two. There are a some obstacles that they need to figure if they want to work it out or not. The storyline had my adrenaline up and at the end, I couldn’t have asked for more. It was perfection!!

I am so excited for the next book in 2023. I love J.S. Scott books and will sit anxiously. #2022BookRec

I really liked this book. Chase thinks he's not worth any woman's attention. Savannah secretly cares for Chase but thinks he only sees her as his little sister's best friend. Something happens to Savannah and his protective instincts kicks in along with some feelings he did not know he had for Savannah. She thinks he is not looking for a relationship but is open to a friendship. She has some residual issues left over from a kidnapping and needs to heal. Their relationship slowly develops and I love how he is so patient and sensitive to her. This heroine is a lot stronger and braver than she realizes and the hero is more than he seems. I love the bit of suspense but I want more! I received an advance copy of the book from the author and am voluntarily giving my honest opinion.
