The “hate truck” of Piscataway, New Jersey continues to move slowly through the news.
As WCBS’ Dana Tyler explains:
A show of solidarity today after leaders from four mosques in New Jersey say their congregations are being harassed. For the past few weeks, a truck with anti-Muslim messages and uh, uh images and uh signs saying uh digital screen has been driving past mosques in Piscataway, Edison, North Brunswick, and Fords. Today, the New Jersey chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations joined leaders from those Islamic centers. They say hate is definitely on the rise.
The story of the “hate truck” broke November 30. So it has only been 12 days. But with 18 separate broadcasts about this story (three on WCBS alone), it must seem longer. Yet despite the inordinate amount of coverage this semi-news story has received, we still do not know what the truck said, what images were displayed, who sent it, or why. We only know about how the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) feels about the truck.
This strongly suggests we are witnessing another example of the Council on American Islamic Relations manipulating the media. And, reports from Indian news sources tend to confirm those suspicions.
According to OpIndia:
On the 14th anniversary of the dastardly attack on the Indian financial capital Mumbai, Indian Americans took out demonstrations outside the Pakistan Community center in New Jersey. CAIR took offense at the display of the names of the LeT terrorists (referred to as ‘suspects’ in the article) and scenes from the deadly terror attack. CAIR called it a deliberate and well-coordinated move giving a message of hate.
If it is the case that CAIR is characterizing the naming of the 2008 Mumbai attack perpetrators as “heinous,” “hate,” and “horrible bigotry,” then the public needs to know that.
And TV stations such as WCBS need to be aware of CAIR’s pattern of manipulating the media.
Notable examples of CAIR’s manipulation of the media include:
- CAIR had ABC affiliate WSB defame a sitting judge to influence a legal decision. And even after CAIR’s client received a favorable decision on appeal, and after judge Dickson stepped down from the bench to take a lower paying job in another city, CAIR had the TV station follow her there and broadcast its demand the city fire her from that position as well.
- CAIR turned the town of Dearborn against Bill Larion for using the word “camels” in a Facebook post. ABC affiliate WXYZ was a willing participant in Larion’s persecution.
- CAIR used security camera images to get on TV and claim that a mosque in Olympia, Washington was attacked with an explosive device, even though police said it was a firecracker and there is no evidence that anyone targeted the mosque.
- CAIR got on TV to claim that bulldozers are a threatening symbol to Muslims. But the only people who would be threatened by a bulldozer are violent Muslims such as Javed Mohammad, who is described in the Indian press as “the alleged mastermind behind the protests and the subsequent violence on June 10” committed in reaction to statements, that is, words, spoken by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Nupur Sharma.
- CAIR got on multiple Ohio news stations to repeatedly insinuate that Roman Iqbal was possibly armed and dangerous.
Additionally, and also from OpIndia, is proof that CAIR’s Communications Director, Ibrahim Hooper, is blaming Hindus for Muslim violence in Karnataka.
WCBS’ coverage of CAIR’s response to the “hate truck” shows former CAIR-NJ executive director, Jim Sues, is now working for the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), a Pakistani terror front. Before leaving CAIR, Sues was responsible for turning the town of Toms River, New Jersey against Dan Leonard. TV stations including WCBS never covered the hate campaign directed against Leonard, even when his underage daughter became the object of rape threats.
Selaedin Maksut, the current executive director of CAIR-NJ is responsible for the defamation suit his organization now faces. During the police, and school investigations of a rumor that Tamar Herman took the hijab off of one of her students, Maksut got on TV multiple times to call for the teacher to be fired, thereby perpetuating the rumor and endangering the teacher.
There is a crisis in journalism today, which is being made all the worse by TV stations such as WCBS that are helping CAIR spread hatred against not just white people, but now against Hindu Americans as well.
“Mosque Leaders Join CAIR NJ To Denounce Anti Muslim Harassment,” CBS New York, December 11, 2022:
NEW YORK — There was a rally of solidarity Sunday in response to leaders from four New Jersey mosques saying their congregations have been harassed.
For the past few weeks, a truck displaying an anti-Muslim images and messages on a digital screen has been driving past mosques in Piscataway, Edison, North Brunswick, and Fords.
On Sunday, the New Jersey chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations joined leaders from those Islamic centers and law enforcement in solidarity.
They said hate is on the rise.
“Year by year, we’re seeing an increase. Last year, we broke 100 for the first time and year to date we’re passed 150 now,” said Dyaa Terpstra, operation coordinator for CAIR-NJ.
“We have a reasonable expectation to live and worship and visit our houses of worship and do this in peace, so let’s please maintain the peace,” added Jim Sues of ICNA-NJ….

I think the photos that were scrubbed immediately after they were posted back in mumbai, that showed the scene of the mutilated slaughtered body of the 8th month pregnant rabbi’s wife, with her belly cut open and the fetus cut out, and the husband, the rabbi who’s testicles were cut off would be a reminder to these miserable weasely muslim complainers that they have so much blood on their hands that they cannot escape. They can scream and whine about unfairness while never ever apologizing for the homicidal slaughters done in the name of Islam, against all others. And the 166 killed and some 300 wounded? They should show pictures of what these homcidal jihadists did there and dozens of others similar typed attacks across the globe. Islamophobia?? What a sick joke that word and it’s creation have brought.

As much as the Mumbai victims deserve to be remembered, I am wondering if that is the true aim of those who are sponsoring this lorry – or whether it is being used because a spot of concrete evidence of “hate” would help some particular narrative right now….
