Unserious people are in charge of the country.
In Afghanistan, women and girls protesting the Taliban’s ban on education are being beaten and killed. CNN has a video of a 9-year-old girl being sold in marriage to a 55-year-old man in the Mohamedan tradition.
And Secretary of State Blinken has a playlist.
Secretary of State Blinken releases 2022 Spotify playlists – Axios
It was bad enough when Obama was doing this stuff, but now we’ve got cabinet members doing this? Is everyone in any administration tainted by the stench of Obama going to try and act like celebs and influencers.
But for anyone who really wants to find recommended music based on the pretend tastes of a guy who got a bunch of Americans killed, here’s the Blinken playlist.
And of course, Lizzo is on it.
Do I really believe that a 60-year-old white man is listening to Taylor Swift, Lizzo, and Bad Bunny?
I do not.
This feels like a list put together by some younger female staffer, with a few older blues numbers thrown in by Blinken to try and make him seem relatable. While the world is burning and Blinken has blood on his hands, the man is trying to become another social media influencer.
China is practicing wolf warrior diplomacy while Blinken puts out fake playlists. Unserious people catering to the unserious are in charge of the country.
And the media treats this nonsense as if it were news.
You can’t get a reporter to ask Blinken why USAID continues defying federal law and refusing to cooperate with SIGAR, the watchdog on Afghanistan, but they’re happy to republish his damn playlist.
And the one song that ought to be on it, isn’t.

The silence from the Biden administration, many feminists, and most of the media over the tragic lives the women and little girls of Afghanistan now face is deafening. Protecting one specific old white man’s image is more important. This reflexive practice now has support from election results that demonstrate money and lies work and integrity fails. Best not to bring up Afghanistan at all.

Hell yeah DHZ, It’s all smoke n mirrors with the old “Don’t look there, what’s this shiny thing over here”?
In some respects the Bimbo administration is worse than the Romans.
Give them sport and bread!

The viciously brutal abusive treatment of women by the Taliban is a direct reflection of the horrendously cruel misogyny that is a strong part of the religion that is Islam.
As one scholar of Islam revealed in one of her books is that “Women in Islam are considered unclean , deemed inferior even to dirt.” [1]

If such ”men” think of women as ”unclean” then what does that make these men who came OUT of their Mothers Vagina… Inquiring minds want to know.

According to the feature article:
“Unserious people are in charge of the country.”
With all due respect to the erudite Mr. Greenfield, I’m not so sure.
The people in charge are leftist traitors who certainly seem to be *dead serious* about destroying the country.
They make Benedict Arnold seem like a patriot…

In reality, who gives a rats ass what this corrupt wanker listens to, to drown out the beleaguered voice of what remains of his conscience?

With all due respect — I am not even slightly interested in fixing things in Afghanistan. Yes — it is very sad what is happening there, but it is well behind enemy lines. Our direct attempts to intervene in Afghanistan were doomed to failure, and were a distraction from the REAL battle lines.
Why it is important to monitor what happens in Afghanistan is that country is the embodiment of the “Sharia Dream” shared by a significant fraction of Muslims living HERE (in the US and Briton). In an article today I read about a recent study in Britain, “Twenty-eight percent [of Muslims in the U.K.] hope for the U.K. one day to become a fundamentalist Islamic state.”
Yes, 28% of Muslims in the U.K. want to turn Britain into Afghanistan. This is a truly terrifying thought — especially because “Mohammed” was the most popular boys name in London last year (the second most popular in all of Britain and Wales). As tragic as what is going on in Afghanistan is, I think that Blinken is RIGHT to not intervene. That is not where the battle is. If I were to complain about his dereliction of duty, it would be with not rallying his allies in the U.K. to remain allies by protecting themselves against sinister threat of the Afghanistanization of the U.K. and Europe. *That* is the battle we must now wage.

Why am I not surprised that Daniel is a Fan of the late great Leonard Cohen, though both Leonard and Daniel are masters of words.
I have been a Fan of Leonard Cohen since back in the days when the World was so much more sane.
Now Im a Fan of Daniel Greenfield as well as Leonard Cohen.
