Certainly. Because immigration is a national security and crime issue, and when have Leftists ever cared about national security or crime?
“Dem Senator Dismisses Opposition To Immigration As A ‘Far-Right’ Concern,” by Harold Hutchison, Daily Caller, December 18, 2022:
Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown of Ohio claimed that concerns about immigration only came from the “far right” during a Sunday appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
“I think my voters in Ohio are reasonable. We’re a slightly lean Republican state now,” Brown told host Chuck Todd. “I don’t hear much about immigration from voters, except for people on the far right that always want to gain political advantage by talking about it.”
“When serious-minded people talk about it, they’re looking for something like Thom [Tillis] and Kyrsten [Sinema] were suggesting, and they’re also emphasizing the dreamer kids, the DACA kids, who are, as I said, essentially Americans except for the paperwork,” Brown continued.
Independent Sen. Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona and Republican Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina reportedly started work on compromise legislation that would legalize those in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program while reinstating Title 42, a Trump-era program that expelled migrants that is set to expire Dec. 21 following a ruling by United States District Judge Emmet Sullivan.

I am against DACA, unless and until something is done about DALCA – the DACA equivalent for legal immigrants. Kids of visa holders in the US, be it H1B, L1A, L4, et al who are born outside the US automatically become illegal the moment they are no longer minors: they then have to either return to their countries, where they have the same issue as DACA kids of not being culturally compatible w/ the environment there, not knowing the language and so on, or continue to live in the US illegally, even though they were legal for 18 years or less. Years ago, I saw Rand Paul support those demands, and I certainly think they should be ahead of DACA in the line

My impression is, as someone living far away from the USA in Australia, that the USA is currently being swamped by far too many people coming across the southern border. I find it hard to believe that this is not a concern for most American people. One thing I am sure of is that, over time, as Americans realise what criminal scum have (in some cases) made their way into the USA, as they begin to commit all sorts of crime, then even the slow learners, who are supposedly not yet concerned, will become bloody concerned and angry at this invasion of the country by the out of control arrivals.

At least that is something of an admission. He doesn’t just gaslight people and claim “We don’t have a problem with immigration” the way our mentally challenged President does. Sadly statements like this, that involve no attempt at thinking at all, are sadly accepted by large numbers of the voting public as rational. Some people are more anti-conservative than they are pro-liberal.

All that awful ruling by the Supreme Court against title 42 means that all this awful chaos mayhem and misery along with this terrible suffering at the US/ Mexican border will continue and probably grow even worse, if possible.
The sad a terrible situation is that the horrible reality first started because that corrupt and unethical politician, Joe Biden became the De facto “President” of the United States.
This is tragic. meaning It’s tragic fir America, it’s tragic for Americans and it’s tragic for all those people existing in those horrendous conditions at the Mexican /US border places because of Biden’s “No secure border policy.”

America is going down the toilet like the UK and Europe. When the s–t hits the fan there will be social chaos.

Its now known as being Far Right, leaning towards fascism itself, if you want the International Borders of your country to be secured against people coming in illegally however if that Border is thousands of Miles away from the Rio Grande in Northern Europe then thats a real important issue for the current moron in the Oval Office. leave the American Border unsafe but send $Billion to Ukraine to make sure their Border is secure..
I now live on an insane Planet and the sooner I leave it, the better.

Just wondering how “Meet the Press” would now be handling current events if Tim Russert were still alive and running the show…
