The Philadelphia WikiSalon meets online monthly, providing demonstrations, discussions and support for those interested in editing Wikipedia. We often focus on skills relevant to librarians and archivists, but everyone is welcome. You can see WikiSalon's archives of Demonstrations and Questions and Answers from past events.

Come to the monthly Saturday WikiSalon and other events to find out more and improve Wikipedia from the comfort of your own home. If you are new to editing, we suggest that you create a Wikipedia account beforehand. You can request email notices about WikiSalon by filling out this online form.

8 March 2016 Glam Café Speaker: Andreas Weber; Title: Natural Historical Archives as Digital Challenge; Abstract: In this short presentation I will tell a bit more about the origins, aims and challenges of a recently awarded collaborative research project which uses digital means to disclose the archive of the Committee for Natural History of the Netherlands Indies (Natuurkundige Commissie, 1820-1850).
