————————————

This Is Radio Silence (TIRS) was formed in 2006 by former Earth Loop Recall frontman Ben McLees.

TIRS remained a solo project until after the release of the 'Now There's Nothing' album in 2010, when bassist Geoff Courts & guitarist Sam Astley joined the group. Keyboardist/producer Hunter Barr joined in 2012 for live shows in support of the 'Soon, Much Of This Will Have Been Destroyed' album, released in December of that year.

After a year of very little TIRS activity - all members of the group had touring & recording commitments with other artists - TIRS returned with a new EP and new line-up in August 2014. 'The Crux/Remixes EP featuring the group's strongest material to date.

With returning (ex-Earth Loop Recall) drummer Dan Vickers, guitarist Austin Davey and visuals/projections by Adrian Giddings, TIRS played a run of live shows throughout 2015. Unfortunately, a subsequently scheduled AA single, 'Disappointed'/'Leave This All Behind' was canned & the group entered a hiatus at the start of 2016.

The first TIRS release in nearly 5 years was the single "We Know It's Over', released on 14th February 2019. This was followed by the 'Fallen Men' EP in November 2019, the 'There Is No Time'/'Impermanence' EP in May 2020, 'Two For Joy' (2020 RDX) in July 2020 & 'The Yellow House' single in April 2021.

TIRS will be launching a new release at the live show at Our Black Heart on 4th March 2023; a 2-CD album compiling their 2019-2021 Eps, singles, session tracks and outtakes/previously unreleased material."
