Testimonials

  • "You can tell from the first moment meeting Hannah that she is a knowledgeable expert in the world of production management (and the industry as a whole). However, the thing that was most beneficial from being part of the Unscripted TV Production Management course is how welcoming, friendly and helpful Hannah was. No question was too simple or obvious, and there was a lot of time on her part to ensure we have the best foundation to move into the world of production management. There was a lot of information to cover in 2 days and although that may have been intense at times, Hannah always made sure it was easily digestible and gave us all the confidence that we are capable of handling everything that is required in this role, just as she has done multiple times in her career. It was equally beneficial personally but also inspiring to learn from someone like Hannah. Would highly recommend the course to anyone else who wants to build confidence, skills and expertise in any production role.”

    - Syd Heather, Freelance Producer & Jnr PC

  • "I took the Production Management for Unscripted TV course which was incredibly informative and really beneficial. Hannah covered every area of the PM role in just two days but due to her relaxed and informal approach it never felt like a lecture and I didn't feel bombarded with information. I came away feeling like I'd learnt a huge amount and now have a much more in depth perspective of the day to day life of a production manager. I highly recommend this course - and indeed any other course run by Hannah."

    - Lucy Wedlock - Series Producer

  • "Hannah is an excellent trainer with a vast wealth of knowledge and experience when it comes to all things Production. Not only was the course extremely informative and helpful it was also fun and engaging. It's equipped me with the knowledge and confidence to take strong steps forward in my career. Highly recommended!"

    - Andrew Carver - Producer/Director

  • "Hannah, Thank you so much for an enjoyable two days on the Production Management for Unscripted TV course – absolutely gutted its over! I have learned so much over the last couple of days and you’ve really given me the confidence boost to take the leap into the next stages of my career. Thank you for being so calm and patient with our group and taking the time to make sure everyone understood each module we covered. Would love to do another course with you in the near future, I highly recommend!"

Terms & Conditions

Do you accept attendees who have a bursary?

Yes. Bursaries are available via various companies such as Screenskills.

Attendees must pay for a ticket first either via Eventbrite or Invoice and will then claim for the cost via the company providing the bursary. I’m afraid I cannot accept payment from individuals after the course/event has taken place.

Will you send me a VAT receipt?

If paying via Eventbrite, you will receive a confirmation email detailing the costs. If you require a more detailed receipt please contact me via contact@mediacareeradvice.co.uk and I can send you a receipt on company headed paper.

However do note that I am not currently VAT registered, so I’m afraid VAT can’t be claimed back on the ticket price via your personal tax return.

My company needs to pay via invoice

No problem. Drop me a message via contact@mediacareeradvice.co.uk and I can prepare an invoice for you and book you a place on the course. You will need to send me your company name and address for the invoice.

Payment via invoice to be made no later than 30 days from date of the invoice.

I don’t want to appear on camera

Personally I feel it benefits other course participants and myself as a tutor if you are able to appear on camera. However if you’d prefer not to that’s fine, it isn’t a course requirement to have your camera on at all times.

If you need to cancel

There will be times when you may book onto courses/events and subsequently find that you are unable to attend. In these situations I ask that you notify me of your need to cancel as soon as possible.

Your booking can be transferred across to the next available course date. Please note - I will only be able to offer a transfer across to two subsequent course dates (which allows more leeway if you are unable to attend the next course date). I will not be able to transfer your booking if you are unable to attend the next two course iterations and a refund will not be issued.

Alternatively a refund will be issued to attendees who cancel at least 1 week prior to the course/event. If you have booked via Eventbrite then Eventbrite’s fee is non-refundable. This fee is calculated at 6.95% of the ticket cost + £0.59 GBP per ticket. Attendees who cancel within the 1 week period will not be eligible for a refund.

What happens if Media Career Advice cancels?

There may be times when I need to cancel a course/talk. In the first instance we will re-book attendees onto the next available course. However if this isn’t possible we will provide a full refund to all trainees booked onto those courses/events.

What happens if I lose connection?

You will need an internet connection that supports video conferencing and a device that has a camera and a microphone.

In the event of a lost connection email contact@mediacareeradvice.co.uk to discuss options to catch up on the sessions missed.
