Indian security services on Monday arrested a terrorist belonging to the Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) jihad terror group and recovered a huge stash of Chinese and foreign-made weapons and ammunition meant for attacks against Indian military and security forces.
Pakistan-backed Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), a terrorist group affiliated to the jihadi-promoting Deobandi Madrasas, has ideological and operational ties to Al Qaeda and Afghanistan’s ruling Taliban regime. According to a United Nations reported published in May 2022, JeM runs terrorist camps under Taliban’s protection in Afghanistan.

A JeM (Jaish-e-Muhammad) terrorist from Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir was on Monday arrested along with 25 hand grenades among other arms and ammunition, police said.
The arrested person was planning to target police and security forces at the behest of a jailed terrorist.
Acting on a tip off regarding delivery of consignment in Pulwama, a team was of police and army (55RR) was formed to nab the accused.
“At Naina Bhatpora, one suspected person riding a scooty tried to flee from the spot after spotting the team. The suspect was caught and the consignment of arms and ammunition was recovered,” the spokesman said.
Oe Pistol, 25 Chinese grenades, two pistol magazines, 230 pistol cartridges, 10 AK magazines, 300 AK cartridges and other incriminating materials were recovered from his possession.
The accused said he was in contact with jailed terrorist associate Firdous Ahmed Bhat lodged at central jail Rajouri.
“He further disclosed that he was working for JEM terrorist outfit and the huge cache of arms and ammunition was meant for further distribution in order to carry out terror attacks on police and security forces and disrupt the peaceful atmosphere.”
The news of the arrest came just hours after a JeM-linked terror outfit threatened Indian authorities from mining newly-found lithium in the area — a move that could ease India’s dependence on China for the mineral critical in high-tech manufacturing. “JeM, a terror group backed by Pakistan, has issued a letter threatening to attack the newly discovered Lithium mines in Jammu and Kashmir. The letter comes just 3 days after the Government announced about the Lithium mines found in Jammu and Kashmir,” the Indian TV channel Times Now reported Monday.
The threat comes in the backdrop of a decades-long Islamic terror campaign to uproot Hindus, Sikh and other non-Muslims from their ancestral homeland of Kashmir. This genocidal campaign forced around half a million Hindus to leave the Muslim-dominated region.

Why are the Indians arresting, rather than killing, those jihadists? Just kill them and airdrop their bodies on the Pak side of the border
