Feed the Animals at Virginia Safari Park

At Virginia Safari Park, you can not only observe and feed our animals from your car, but you can also have some of them eating out of the palm of your hand when exploring the village walk-thru. From extremely tall giraffes to tiny parrots, we offer opportunities to interact closely with most of our animals!

Safari Drive-thru Animal Feeding

There are hundreds of animals to feed while enjoying our 180-acre drive-thru! From llamas and Scottish Highland cattle to huge bull elk, deer, and ostrich. Create memories to last a lifetime feeding animals from around the globe.

Giraffe Feeding

Come face to face with our giraffes with the help of our wheelchair-accessible covered platform. They’ll take leaves of romaine lettuce right from your hand with their long, black tongues! Purchase the lettuce leaves at the gift shop or on the viewing platform.

Farm Animal Feeding

The petting area gives the kids the chance to touch and feed cute and friendly farm animals like baby llamas, and goats.

Budgie Feeding

Surround yourself with tiny parrots in the Budgie Adventure Aviary. The colorful birds will perch on your hand, especially if you have a feed stick for them to munch on. Get your budgie feed sticks for $2.00 each at the Safari Gift Shop.
