Westport-Wadhams Lilac Days

The Flowers Plus! Committee of the Westport Chamber of Commerce is embarking on a multi-year project to make Westport and Wadhams a destination for lilac lovers with a Lilac Festival in 2027 or 2028 that will open up the tourism ‘season’ earlier, to increase our carbon consciousness through horticultural awareness, and to enhance the beauty and cultural vitality of the place where we live.

So, we’re embarking on a major planting of lilacs: 100 in 2023 and 200 next year, with the first group of bushes already planted at the Town Hall!

In addition to support from our major Sponsor, The Champlain Peony Company, and several foundational donors, success of this effort will require community financial support, and help in planting all these lilacs!
