Grubhub to Lay Off About 15% of Staff

Food-delivery company to cut around 400 jobs; CEO Howard Migdal says move is needed to stay competitive

Grubhub is laying off around 15% of its workforce as the Chicago-based food delivery company seeks to reduce costs to stay competitive, according to an email viewed by The Wall Street Journal.

Chief Executive Howard Migdal said in the message Monday that Grubhub is cutting about 400 positions, and that the company would inform workers about the cuts throughout the day.
