If there is one book you need to read this year it’s this one!! I read it on kindle, then listened to it on audible and now have the paperback! This a beautiful love story!! No one writes quite like Pepper and I absolutely love how she weaves her words and the story together. Nerinda, is retelling the story of how she met Aslan when they were children. Aslan was pulled from the ocean when the boat his family were travelling on was destroyed. He was the only survivor and Nero’s family took him. There is a reason why his family fled Turkey and he needs to remain hidden.

    This is one of those books that rips your heart out, makes you scream, and leaves you in a state of what the hell! You experience so many empires with the FL and ML. You then recommend this book to everyone you know. Amazing story. Cannot wait to read the next part.

    Wow. I didn't expect to feel like this after reading this book. Tbh I had no idea what to expect as I basically went in blind and god I'm glad I read this.

    The writing, the plot, the characters, everything pulled me in from the first chapter and I didn't want it to end. The bond between the two MC's was so strong I could feel it through the pages. Their journey so far has not been easy and I know it's going to get harder from that cliffhanger we were just left with πŸ™ˆ

    This was a beautifully told coming of age love story and I can't freaking wait to read part two!

    Pepper has given us another angsty, destiny-filled, red hot pair of lovers. Sometimes I wish I could have that kind of adoring, all consuming love but when I see what they go through, I'm not so keen! This is a slow burn read, that simmers along to a scorching finale.

    Aslan and Neri are destined to be together. When Neri is 12 (when they meet), she seems wiser than her older self.16+ Neri makes silly decisions and takes too many risks. Aslan is honest, honourable and totally besotted with Neri. As their forbidden love grows, so too does their secrets from her parents (you just know they are going to get caught. I was having heart palpitations every time they were together, worried they'd be found out. Her parents were pretty naive...) There is so much on the line if they get caught. Aslan could be deported back to Turkey, face an uncertain, dark future or possibly be killed.

    There is a lot of back and forth (Does he love me? Yes he does! Does she want me? Yes, she does! πŸ™„) and I sometimes want to smack their heads together with the miscommunication.

    I love that it was set in Australia's beautiful Great Barrier Reef, but one problem with that is (as I listened to it on an audio ARC), the Aussie accent is very hard to get right. It was quite cringey, bit of a mongrel mix, sounding part South African, part cockney English and part Irish. I'd be interested to see how accurate the Turkish was because it sounded ok from a non Turkish listener (so perhaps non Aussies wouldn't pick up on the bad Aussie accent 🀷).

    This is a very long book (but does Pepper ever do little books...nope!) and I'm glad I was given the opportunity to listen to it on audio (thanks for the ARC!).

    As usual, I'm all hyped up awaiting what will happen with our star crossed lovers. I know it will be intense, shocking, heartbreaking but also soul stirring and absolutely amazing. That's Pepper Winters trademark.

    I had no idea what to expect from this book and I was certainly not let down. Pepper has a way with her characters that draw you right in as if you are right there with them.

    The growth throughout the years of the two main characters was everything. Aslan and Neri were destined to meet and the journey that we are taken on is incredible.

    Ms Winters has delivered another timeless tale of love eclipsing all circumstances. This is one for fans of The Ribbon Duet and the utter heartbreak that is Ren and Della.

    However in saying that Luna Mare is not the Ribbon Duet these are two entirely different stories. BUT the similarities are in the epic story, the evolvement and the inevitability of the main characters relationship.

    Aslan and Neri are clearly destined for each other but they have the trials and tribulations of life ahead of them. Luna Mare is a book that will consume you, turning page after page wanting to know their story. I'm not one for spoilers but this is a story that will test you, have you smiling in one instance and cursing at the next.

    I am fully invested in their love and it has the same draw as when I was reading Ren and Dellas story, the same compulsion to know what's coming and to suffer with them and share in their fated love.

    Prepare yourself, get attached, feel everything and enjoy the ride!

    I could not put this book down and was continuously saying β€œone more chapter” until i ran out of chapters!
    The cliffhanger LunaMare ended on has me itching for more & I can not wait for Cor Amare!

    I laughed, I broke, I cried & I truly hope my heart is healed in Cor Amare!

    This became one of those books I will take NO criticism on. Absolutely none.

    This book is captivating from the first line to the last, which will make you want to grab Cor Amare even before you read the last word. These 10 days of waiting since I finished Lunamare were excrutiating. I was thinking of Neri and Aslan and their incredible and painful story on a daily basis.
    I can’t ephasize it enough: YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK. Whatever your next read was going to be put it away and pick this one up.

    What to expect?
    A beautiful and dark coming-of-age romance, soulmates, violence with β€œtouch her and you die”, secrets, and so much angst. The writing is phenomenal. 🀌🏼
    The story is told in 2 timelines from 2 POVs: Neri, in the present is old and she is giving an interview to two young journalists. The way she prepares them for the worst to come… I was in constant fear. 😭 As she’s telling them about her life, we get Aslan’s and Neri’s POVs in the past, from the day they met. The story is set in Australia (which I loved ❀️) and the characters are marine biologists which made it feel unique.

    It’s an epic love story about fate, but it is also dark. And heartbreaking. If you loved the Ribbon duet, the Luna duet is a must-read! (And if you haven’t read it? Well, you should.)

    This book truly consumed me and I can’t even think of what Cor Amare will do to me by the time i finish it.

    OMG Pepper has done it again. You know when you go the write a review and it has been on your mind for days. You have thought about the book in your sleep and nothing you come up with will do the book justice or you think of something great to say but then forget when you come to write, well that's me right now. This book was epic. There I said it. I mean Neri and Aslan story is truly epic. A love story that spans a lifetime, who doesn't want that kind of love and devotion.

    Lunamare is only the first 6 years of this journey for Aslan and Neri. Having to overcome so much in such a short time. Intensity of emotions is skyrocketed and Aslan being older is fighting so hard to keep his life protected but the older Neri gets the harder she makes it to resist the draw.

    This part of their story is teeming with heartache, betrayal and devastation. The oik pulls at every emotional string your body has and leaves you suffering for more. If this is just book 1 then I am unbelievably, desperately ready (and also not at all) for the second.

    A romance for the ages I am completely enthralled. enjoy ❀️
