The Plaza Hotel now offers a ‘Home Alone’ limo and pizza experience

A storied New York property is now offering fans of an iconic Christmas comedy the opportunity to live the motion picture’s plot in real time.

“Get lost in New York, Kevin McCallister-style,” begins a post by Fairmont, which manages Manhattan’s landmark Plaza Hotel, about a new experience based on the hit 1992 flick “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.”

The itinerary is based on the shenanigans that protagonist Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) gets up to in the film. It begins with a four-hour private limousine ride around the city to visit the movie’s famous filming locations, including the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, Carnegie Hall, and Radio City Music Hall.

The limo ride, the fine print notes, is “not a guided tour.”

As well, the “limo color may vary,” but the offer does promise that riders will be provided with their “very own delicious hot cheese pizza,” so as to make their reliving of Kevin’s famous limo pizza scene more historically accurate.

“After you’ve visited all the sightseeing locales Kevin saw, and returned to your room with ‘one of those little refrigerators you have to open with a key,’ make yourself cozy in your ‘extra large bed,’ Kevin-style, and call down for your over-the-top ice cream sundae delivered right to your bed,” the offer continues, quoting Kevin.

Guests must book the package — which is available year-round — directly with the Plaza, and a minimum of three days before checking in.

The price of the experience comes in addition to the price of lodgings and starts at $3,195, with rates varying depending on room type, according to a statement provided to The Post. Room rates range from slightly under $1,000 to over $32,000 for a 2,500-square-foot, two-bedroom grand penthouse suite with a terrace.

In addition to featuring significantly in “Home Alone 2,” the Plaza is also a beloved architectural marvel, completed in the early 20th century and designed to look like a chateau from the French Renaissance.
