This course really helped me out. It doesn't promise to make you sound like a native, but it gives you a strong foundation to improve your pronunciation. I like how there were not any false promises like in other courses, and the presenter really seemed to take pride in his work. First I want to say that I debated for a while before signing up for Connor's class. There is so much out there that is just disappointing once you plop down the bucks for it. Definitely not so with this class. I have not completely finished it yet, but already my italki teacher has commented on my improved pronunciation. First, let me say that this was the most powerful and effective Spanish course that I've ever taken. Now, let me explain why: I'm half Mexican, but grew up in the United States. Is this European or Latin American Spanish?

We address the key differences in pronunciation between those two big categories. But broadly speaking, the fundamentals of Spanish pronunciation are valid anywhere you go. If you follow what’s discussed inside the course, you’ll be understood anywhere you go. As you progress, you can adapt more of a regional flair to your Spanish.

Are you a native Spanish speaker?

Nope! I grew up speaking only English. Like you, I had to learn and master the sounds of Spanish through practice. In this course, you get to skip my trial and error and jump straight to the good stuff: simple techniques based in experience and research, structured in a way that makes improving a matter of following the plan laid out for you.

Will this course help me sound like a native speaker?

I’ve been learning for a while. Is this for me?

In my experience, seasoned learners often have developed pronunciation habits they’re unaware of. In my experience, yes. There may be words and phrases used in examples that you don’t understand, but that’s okay for now. Pronunciation is all about muscle memory and habits. The sooner you can develop your ear for the sounds of Spanish, the sooner you can develop those habits. That makes speaking (and understanding) much smoother as you progress.

Will this course help me become fluent?

Better pronunciation means better confidence (so you want to speak more), better communication (so you’re well understood), and better comprehension (so you understand others). These things make you want to speak — and listen — more. The more you speak and listen, the faster you build fluency.

What language is the course taught in?
