The nations neighboring Turkey should see this statement as a warning, but they probably won’t.
“‘Hostility against Sharia is hostility against Islam,” says Turkey’s Erdoğan,” Duvar English, February 2, 2024:
Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Feb. 1 commented on the critics of Sharia law, saying “hostility against Sharia Law is hostility against Islam,” during the graduation ceremony at the Religious Affairs (Diyanet) Academy. The president urged new religious officers to become active members of society.
“If you look at history books, you will see that Turk equals Muslim,” Erdoğan asserted and criticized any notion that sought to build “artificial walls” between the two. He continued, “A definition of Turkishness without the inclusion of Islam’s holy war spirit is merely an attempt to turn the Turkish nation into a folklore tale.”
Erdoğan suggested the unidentified enemy’s goal was to “disrupt the fabric of society, and occupy the castle they have surrounded.”
“Shariaphobia” was yet another step in this scheme, the President opined. “Sharia represents the entirety of Islam’s rules on life,” Erdoğan said and warned against who “dared to criticize” it. Ignorance was at the root of the fearlessness against Sharia, according to Erdoğan, who felt sorrow to see a section of society drowning in this “darkness of ignorance.”
Erdoğan urged the newly graduated imams not to limit themselves “within the limits of the mosques and the Quran.” He tasked them to increase their presence in society, as any gap left by imams would be filled by “Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), drug dealers, and perverse and deviant movements.”…

Precisely! Ideologically, Erdogan is the new Hitler, even though his military power is nowhere near what Germany’s was in 1939. And Turks (of all nations) are the new Aryans

You’re right Erdogan see’s himself ruling the world. He’s no different than any other tyrant dictator from the past, he’s nothing but a CRIMINAL.

I first went to Turkey for a holiday in the early nineties, and it was a lovely place with very nice people. There was a slight hint of authoritarianism, but nothing overt. The last time I went there was in the summer of 2014, and it had changed. The atmosphere in Istanbul and other areas was different; and I was less friendly, and many women were covered. I knew then I would not go back to Turkey again. Many in the UK still go on holiday, but I would not recommend it. Erdogan is dangerous, but because he does not look or dress like a radical Islamist, he has deceived many. Turkey is the thorn in the side of the West due to its position within NATO, etc. and is therefore very difficult to deal with as they are supposed to be a partner of the West.

The 9/11 terrorist hijackers (including ringleader Mohamed Atta) shaved off their beards, dressed Western style, wore Cologne perfume and even drank alcohol to appear nondescript when they went to the United States. A number of them, including Atta, had also been living in Hamburg, Germany.

The fact is that the errors {Scientific,Theological,Historical}in the koran actually PROVE that the author is not omniscient despite his claim that he is {koran 2:29}.
muslims take their instructions from a holy book that is obviously false and follow their prophet muhammed who is the most obvious false prophet in history{even by his own admission}
allah: a god who suffers from a terrible lack of omniscience
mohammed: a prophet that showed/proved he was a false prophet
koran: a holey book that is so full of errors it is now holey. It cannot possibly come from any God.The author is provably not omniscient.
A false god,a false prophet, a false holy book….all provable.
Never mind. They won’t get it.Centuries of “scholarship” and they have not figured it out.
Centuries….

The Turks were polytheistic nomads before they ever accepted Islam. But there is an entire Turkish minority within Moldova who speak Turkish and yet are Orthodox Christians. So Erdogan is factually incorrect but Islamists feel no compunction for accuracy in history or in anything else.

I’ve seen some people online make the case that the Turkic movement is not an islamic movement, and that’s why non-muslim Turks, like the Magyars, the Shakas of Yakutia, the Khazars and other Turkic non-muslims should be a part of it
Well, Sultan Erdogan has spelt it out: this is a jihadist movement as well. Never mind that the Arabs remember them and hate them. Hungary should stop trying to be an ally of this movement. Israel should also start distancing itself from Azerbaijan and the -stans, since those are more likely to follow Erdogan

I don’t know what it will take for people to realize how dangerous Erdogan is. Are people not hearing the words coming out of his mouth? Short attention spans? Apathy? People too busy trying to survive in this economy and crime ridden cities?
Of course, I’m not referring to followers of JW.
I hope they don’t have to learn the hard way like my Greek/Armenian ancestors did.

Erdogan is more and more paving the way for a fundamental change in society. Towards more sharia laws, more sunnie islam. He accuses others of terrorism, but creates terror himself.
We have Gulen refugees here in the Netherlands, after being imprisoned, kicked out of their jobs, who are highly educated, democratic (hope they stay that way).
Freedom of religion is more and more becoming impossible.
I hope and pray for Turkye and the people they will see the dangers, and may the gospel message bring peace and balance.
