Investigations of the Rameshwaram Cafe blast have so far revealed the names of three of the accused, and all three are Muslims. The National Investigation Agency had already identified the principal accused, who is said to have carried out the IED blast at the popular eatery in the Whitefield area in Bengaluru, as Mussavir Hussain. The NIA further revealed that one Muzammil Shareef, a resident of Khalsa in Chikkamagaluru district, was also arrested and investigated for extending logistical support to Mussavir Hussain. The anti-terror agency has also identified a co-conspirator, Abdul Matheen Taahaa, who, like Hussain, is a resident of Thirthahalli in Shivamogga district. The arrests were made after conducting searches in 18 locations across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh. The agency is now summoning and examining all of the acquaintances of these man, including college and school-time friends, in order to collect evidence and more information.
However, a popular trend among India’s pro-jihadis is to pin every act of terror done by Muslims on Hindus, Hindu organizations, or political parties that are known to work for the Hindu cause.
After the Mumbai terror attack in 2008, prominent Muslims and Pakistan-pandering personalities in politics, entertainment and journalism accused the Hindutva organization RSS of the attack. To spread this falsehood further among the Indian masses, they also wrote and released a book entitled 26/11, RSS ki Sajish (“26/11, a conspiracy of the RSS”). This absolute depravity and lack of morality is not something out of the past. It is a permanent trait of this coterie that unabashedly and without civility propagates every untruth that helps them frame the Hindus for evils committed by jihadis. In the present case, known Islamic jihadi sympathizers took to their social media handles. They blamed a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party for planting the bomb at Ramshwaram cafe, while terming the popular political party a terrorist party. Misleading headlines and deceptive news reports suggesting that a BJP worker had been detained and accused in the case were disseminated widely by the entire liberal, pro-Muslim ecosystem. The false narrative was amplified to such an extent that the NIA had to step in to reveal that the BJP worker was called in not as a suspect, but as a witness. It was later reported that this worker had sold his old phone to a local shop, and it was then used by one of the terrorists.
India is heading towards a national election; also, the inauguration of the Ram Mandir, though constructed with the nod of the Apex Court, has left a significant chunk of the Muslim population in India fuming. The vulnerable situation makes the country susceptible to a terror attack from the Islamic State (ISIS), given the fact that the Islamic State has penetrated deep into Indian soil. The terror organization could be eyeing India as its next target, as the NIA has identified numerous Muslim youth who are actively involved in promoting the anti-India agenda of the proscribed terror outfit.
The Uttar Pradesh Anti Terrorism Squad conducted raids in eleven spots in Maharashtra, uncovering objectionable materials ahead of the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya in January 2024. The UP STF also raided hideouts linked to ISIS suspects and discovered phones, laptops, and jihadi literature.
Investigations into the social media posts of one Saddam Sheikh, an ISIS supporter, who was angry over the Babri Masjid verdict and expressed admiration for terrorists such as Osama bin Laden, led to the identification of 11 suspects in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, including Mirza Saif Baig, Abdul Wahid, Yasir, Ziauddin Siddiqui, Thor Bhan, SK Khalid, Tahir alias Sir, and Sadiq Habib who had already fled. Families of the accused were summoned to the UP ATS office in Lucknow between January 15 and 18.
On March 23, Assam police detained a fourth-year student of IIT Guwahati, Tauseef Ali Farooqui, who had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State and declared his intent to join the terror group through an open letter on LinkedIn, proving once again that education or the lack thereof has no bearing on the jihadist mentality. For a jihadi, the world is an eternal struggle between the Muslims and the kafirs, and the religious duty of the Muslim is to conquer and subjugate the latter.
Also, the head of ISIS in India, Haris Farooqi, and one of his aides from Dhubri, were arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) of the Assam police on March 20. The police found both to be highly indoctrinated and had worked intensely to further the cause of ISIS in India through recruitment, terror funding, and terror acts of planting IEDs. They were apprehended by the police while crossing the Indo-Bangladesh international border after camping for ISIS in the neighboring country. This incident shone a spotlight on the role of Bangladeshi jihadis in creating unrest in India, which we will elaborate on in subsequent articles.

GE, I’d say that Infidel is on JW everyday with knowledgeable comments on nearly every topic.
I, too, look forward to what he has to say on this. A lot of what comes out of India confuses me. He explains it well.

I read the article in question. The ceremony in question – “Pran Pratistha” (establishment of life) – is actually a ceremony analogous to a housewarming party for mortals, except that this one applies to Gods. Actually, there has been three sides to this event, not two, as might usually be the case
➤ The side of the ruling party supported this ceremony b’cos in their collective mind, it marked the establishment of the temple, where devotees can now worship or pray. Only twist to this: the temple is not complete, and will take anything from another 5-10 years to complete
➤ The secular opposition to this ceremony had varying opposition milestones: the original one was opposed to the demolition of the mosque that happened in 1992, then they were opposed to building the temple and most recently, they were opposed to the government being involved in inaugurating it. I’m sympathetic to the third of these, but not to the first two
➤ There is a third opposition to this ceremony from Hindu traditionalists, and after studying their opposition, I’ve concluded that I agree w/ them. Essentially, they consider this ceremony to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons:
1. As I mentioned above, the temple is not complete. The analogy drawn is that just as one doesn’t move into a home before it is complete, it was inappropriate to install the statues/idols before the temple was complete. In a more scriptural analogy that’s been cited, a temple represents the deity himself/herself, and the idols inside represent the soul of the deity. Just as a soul doesn’t enter the body of a newborn before s/he has been fully formed, similarly, the idol should not be installed before the temple is complete
2. There were some controversies over the date of the ceremony. It happened on January 22nd, a day before the schedule of general elections in India were announced. Once the election campaigns start, there is a law that forbids politicians from actively participating in high profile religious ceremonies on the grounds that that can sway the vote. As a result, the ruling BJP held it right before the election cycle, but in the process, a lot of the religious rules regarding when such a ceremony can happen were broken. Since this was the temple of Lord Rama, whose birth anniversary this year falls around April 27th, that was the date that a lot of Hindu priests recommended for this ceremony. Only problem: politicians, including the prime minister, couldn’t have participated in it due to the election laws
3. List of invitees was controversial. It included some muslims, including one who fought the Hindu side in court over who should get ultimate possession of this land – Hindus or muslims (even though he switched sides after the judgement in favor of Hindus), as well as some Bollywood celebrities notorious for trashing Hinduism and Hindu traditions in their movies. In the meantime, it excluded a lot of people who dedicated 40 years of their lives to this movement, including a number of those killed during the agitation. This has woken up some Hindus about the real face of the ruling party, and while votes will not go to secular parties that to this day are pro-jihad, it has soured Hindu support for the ruling party
4. Architectural blasphemy. During the construction of the temple, some weird things were pointed out. Like on X, people took a picture of the temple interior where the idol was to be placed, then showed pictures of the interior of mausoleums, such as the Taj Mahal. In other words, this temple seemed to have more islamic than Hindu influences. There were also reports of muslims being involved in the construction, which was pretty controversial, particularly since muslims elbowing Hindus out of entire professions is a pretty sore issue in India. The question was whether there was a lack of Hindus who believed in this deity who were also capable of building the various statues, idols, bells, doors and other pieces needed to put together this temple
I recall in 1992 when the mosque was demolished. I was a student newly arrived in the US, and in the local Indian-American community, opinion was sharply divided. I was one of those who cheered the event, since we had witnessed the long term appeasement of muslims as well as the attacks on the Hindu faith, customs and traditions, so this was symbolic of a backlash. I considered a major goal accomplished then. I know that when JW covered this event in January, Robert mentioned that it was symbolic of non-muslims reclaiming their sacred sites. Yeah, but I’d say it was achieved in 1992, when the mosque was demolished
The temple should have taken its time, free from political interference and in accordance w/ all the rules laid out in Hindu scriptures. Unfortunately in India, while mosques, churches and gurudwaras (Sikh temples) are controlled/run by autonomous bodies, all Hindu temples are controlled either by the central or state governments, and this is one more issue that Hindus have w/ the Indian govt
One more issue is the replacement mosque that’s gonna be built at a place some 15 miles from where this temple is. The court judgement gave muslims 5 acres of land, which the state government assigned to this place. Muslims have now bought up 25 acres around it, and there are fears that a lot of the traffic to Ayodhya will now be muslim traffic to this mosque, thereby resulting in a whole bunch of muslim no-go ones near that area, and expanding until it encompasses that temple
Bottom line: I celebrated the mosque demolition in 1992. I was glad that the Indian Supreme Court ruled in favor of Hindus, but after that, I would have liked to see the temple built according to Hindu norms and traditions, w/o involving any political parties at all
From a religious POV, I’d be most interested in how such ceremonies compare to ancient Hellenic ceremonies, since Hinduism has the most similarities w/ ancient faiths like the ancient Hellenic faith
