On the occasion of the 14th edition of the annual cont·act Contemporary Dance Festival, presented by T.H.E Dance Company, the Festival will feature Elusive, a dual world premiere in a double bill, with works by German and Italian duo Panzetti/Ticconi and resident South Korean choreographer Kim Jae Duk, performed by T.H.E's full-time dance artists and apprentices.
Taking place from 28 to 30 June 2024
at DBS Foundation Outdoor Theatre at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, Elusive describes the elusiveness of human nature through two seemingly opposed human features such as sinister chuckles and a swaying chorus.
Amidst a world laden with chaos and grief, acclaimed choreographers Kim Jae Duk (South Korea/Singapore) and Ginevra Panzetti of duo Panzetti / Ticconi (Italy/Germany) present Chorales and MALEBRANCHE — Harlequin multitude, speaking to beauty, transience, desire and wit. Weaved through the spellbinding physicality trademark of T.H.E’s dance artists, and the ingenuity of these international choreographers, Elusive offers an evocative resonance that highlights the sharedness of our human experience.
