PAWThisWeekJune 18,2024Page2of4VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIESDOGGIE DAY OUT”–June 29 & 30th!Do you like to go hiking, to a brewery, for a stroll around Rio or the lake in Columbia?Aren’t all those activities more fun with a friendly dog?Both Saturday and Sunday are available for DDO adventures! Both fostered and kenneled dogs areavailable.We ask you torecord (video and/or pictures)of your adventures with the pup,and we will create a video to post on all of our social media platforms.We will have vests and kerchiefs to advertise that this is a PAW dog available for adoption.You and the dog will be our ambassadors to the public.A short training slideshow will be availablewhen you sign upDDO Training Slides.We hope that this is a fun activity for our volunteersand dogs-and will help thesedogs get adopted!Please help make Doggie Day Outa great success for our pups! You can sign up here:Doggie Day Out sign up.____________________________________________________________________________________PAW AT BOWIE BAYSOXThis is a great opportunity for PAW, and the dogs, to gain much-needed publicity. It is also a lot of fun! Volunteers are provided with two complimentary tickets, and up to four upon request. If you decide to participate, you will need to arrive with aPAW dog onehour before the game starts. The dog will have camera time and be displayed on the jumbotron just before game timeand around the second inning. The Baysox ask that we stay at the game until the fourth inning, but you are free to stay as long as you’d like! Please reach out to Kyle Eisenhart atkme5010@gmail.comif you are interested in participating. If assistance is neededinarranging to take an animal, we will gladly assist! Games are on Sundays at 1:05 PM, we’re asked to arrive an hour ahead. TIMBER visited Paws in the Park (local animal rescue event) with Susan Ginsberg,and ROCCOexplored some breweries with foster mom Elsa Maltese (no beers were consumed by Rocco!!).There is a slideshow/video on Slack for TIMBERon the news channel, and a picture of ROCCOin his handsome “adopt me”vest(left)!Dog Walking–Thanks to our wonderful volunteers:Ashley Fields, Wendy Hall, Jared Salzburg, Vicky Balenger, Rachel Shuster, Patty Haney, Susan Ginsberg for spending time with Becky and Butters and welcoming our newest PAW friends-TREVOR and TIMBER. (And ahuge thank you to Julie Preziosi for providing Butters with a loving foster home where he is thriving!) –Yael Harris-GoldwaterDOGS NEEDING FOSTER HOMESTIMBERis a happy, lively young hound, super friendly and a nice compact 35 pounds.At about a year & a half he has a polite disposition and gets along great with other dogs but will defer to them if they are done playing.As a hound, of course he lovesrunning and sniffing in the yard.He is brand new to PAW and we'll let you know more as we get to know him.If you are interested in fostering TIMBER, please contact Michelle at dog-coordinator@paw-rescue.org.TREVOR(right)is the cutest little dude.Short legs, incredibly sweet disposition.He gets along well with other dogs and loves people.He is 1 year old and 45 pounds,but he looks smaller.He is looking for a home and a family to love him -could that be you?If you are interested in fostering TREVOR, please contact Michelle at dog-coordinator@paw-rescue.org.______________________________________________________________________________________
