We start day five by leaving Kastoria where we stayed last night. Kastoria is from the Greek word for beaver as it is based on Lake Orestiada and nestled in between the mountains of Grammos and Vitsi. The lake used to be filled with beavers which stated the fur trade in the area. Today there are no more beavers left, but the town still is big in the fur trade and there are a lot of fur stores here.
We then take a long winding two hour bus ride through the Pindos Mountains and into Epirus. Is Epirus Greek or Albanian?
