I cant believe this still needs to be discussed but please remove the 'must be/ideally degree qualified' condition from your job advertisement unless a technical degree is necessary to evaluate competence and provide guarantees, such as in the case of a medical practitioners. 🔎 You Are The Assessor 🔍 Learner 2 answers ⚡This learner would get two marks for this answer. ⚡They have correctly worked out the figure for company A with the correct method but have got the figure for company B wrong due to using an incorrect method. This means the maximum mark they can achieve on the first part of the question is one mark as they would need both methods to be correct to gain two marks. In the mark scheme the oe stands for or equivalent so a different, successful, method is acceptable. ⚡ They have been awarded the mark for the reverse calculation as the calculation they have provided is a reverse calculation and therefor a valid check. #Pearson #FEmaths #FunctionalSkills

Worried about exam results? It's the time of the year in the UK, and elsewhere, where secondary school students and their parents / guardians / carers are anxiously awaiting exam results. I hope that students get the results they were hoping for. Passing or not passing an exam is a stressful experience. Whether the results meet the hopes of students , or results involve disappointment, there are an increasing number of good options / alternatives to further pure academic study for those students deciding to follow a vocational or mixed academic / vocational approach such as #apprenticeships . So, as the saying goes, when one door closes, another one opens. Whether in education or in other life situations there are numerous examples of people who achieve success , in a variety of ways, following setbacks or by making a choice to change direction.
