Stream "Heavy Burden": https://ffm.to/hhc-heavy-burden -------------------------- Directed and edited by Mirko Ostuni Filmed at Ex-Caserma Liberata (Bari) -------------------------- About the song: "Heavy Burden" is one of the last songs written by the band. It stylistically highlights their main influences: it is Crust Punk, but in a more aggressive form that borders on Grindcore. The song is about the continuous, ongoing struggle of mankind against injustices and abuse of power. The people are forced to live daily between fear and insecurity, going deeper and deeper in a forced race for survival. To live a decent life should be a right for all of mankind, but it has become a privilege for a few. The video was shot in ex-Caserma Liberata in Bari - a place known for its social inclusiveness and representative of the underground scene in which the band thrives. -------------------------- About the album: The songs that are in the album were composed between the summer of 2022 and the first months of 2023. The approach of the band in composition was very much equal: every component brought some songs in the practice room that were played and reviewed together. Alessandro (vocals) wrote all the lyrics. In the songwriting process all the influences from all the band members (similar but different in micro-details) came out, with influences from '80s Italian Hardcore to the more modern American Grindcore scene. The lyrics convey the strong dread that every person feels when they realize that the world they live in is not made for them, but for the conservation of power of the small ruling minority. These same themes are expressed in the album title, a Perpetual Imbalance of resources and power, to the benefit of the rich minority and to the damage of the poor majority - imbalance felt everywhere and everytime, maintained sometimes with violence, sometimes with persuasion. The album cover showcases all the tools that Power uses to maintain itself, from the sword to the H-bomb to the all-seeing prison (Panopticon), collaged together. The album was recorded in Slap Studio, Castellana Grotte (BA), in December 2023. During the recording sessions, the band and the producers worked together in creating a precise sound that could convey the heaviness and abrasiveness of the live performances - with all a modern recording setup can do - combined with some sound citations from the genre classics. -------------------------- Horrid Human Condition is: Alessandro: Vocals Claudio: Guitar; Back Vocals Marino: Bass Carlo: Drums; Samples -------------------------- Horrid Human Condition: FB: https://www.facebook.com/horridhumanc...
