Since its creation, K.F.R has always been a way for me to put in sound what my paintings are about, what they have to say. A form of black metal completely freed of conventions and codes inherent to the style without forgetting the influence of the french scene.

Pain/Ter is probably my most personal record both lyrically and musically. It deals with how I perceive Total Art, in the sense of Wagner (Gesamtkunstwerk) and my relation to pain and the Devil. The best way to listen to this album would be while staring at the cover and letting the smell of blood engulfing the room in total darkness to achieve some sort of synesthesia.

Some parts of the album were recorded using frequencies known to cause anxiety, fear and distress. There is nothing pleasant here, nothing enjoyable for the sake of it. Black Metal is for me the quintessence of the true evil that lies within us all.

I shot and directed three videos by myself illustrating The Serpent's Kiss , Retrograde and The Queen of Diseases which I consider being short films. Cinema has always been a passion of mine and I intend to go further with a full experimental movie one day:

Je vois en Seppuku le plus parfait miroir à KATANA. Ce dernier faisait la peinture de samouraïs qui, ennoblis par le sens du sacrifice personnel, obtenaient le droit d'admirer les étoiles. La pochette, grâce au vent, était animée. Dans Seppuku, c'est tout l'inverse : l'homme est prostré, regarde le sol. Le black metal de Kyūketsuki est angoissé, comme apeuré par la défaite. L'acte du Seppuku ne suffira pas à laver l'honneur : après la mort, il est plonge en enfer, pourchassé par les démons. Nocturnal Egg (Jordan)

La vraie malédiction du vampire se trouve dans le fait de n'appartenir à aucun monde : il existe sans avoir de reflet ; il est immortel et désire la mort mais, en tant qu'être conscient (contrairement au zombie), il la craint. Osculum Serpentis partage cette tragédie dans The curse of the Vampyre, un E.P. bien plus ambiant, livide, morbide mais aussi... poétique.
