    Wow, Claudia Burgoa is off to a running start with an amazing start to her new “Timberbridge Brothers” series, a small town romance, set in Birchwood Springs. This first book is Ledger and Galeana’s story, and the two first met in Italy, when the hotel accidentally booked them in the same room. It turned into a memorable night, one that left Ledger intrigued with her and wanting more, except that did not happen, at least not then, because fate was not done with them. An inheritance brings Galeana to Birchwood Springs, and when in town, she crashes into the last person she thought she’d see again, Ledger and this meeting almost went as well as the first, NOT! A misunderstanding about who Ledger really is, but one they get that squared away and the two realize they agree about what she needs to do to save her inheritance and possibly the town. The chemistry between these two was smoking hot, and it was great watching their relationship morph into something so much more. It was also great learning more about them and they quickly became some of my favorite characters. I loved all the layers of this intriguing story and how it all played out, with drama, angst, some mystery, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. The mystery and suspense storyline continue on in the next book in the series and adds even more depth to the story and series. And in true Burgoa fashion, the writing, plot, and world building are incredible, as are the character growth and development. I am looking forward to the next book in the series, “Under the Same Sky”.

    🎧📚🎧  Erin Mallon and Aaron Shedlock were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life, humanizing them with their voices and were believable in every role. Their portrayal of each was spot on, both showcasing every aspect of their character’s personality, with Shedlock nailing it as Ledger and Mallon doing the same as Galeana. Both were just as fabulous performing the side/secondary roles, too. They set the right tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These two are the perfect pairing, with voices and talent that complement each other and a performance that elevates the already amazing story to another level. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to.

    OMG CLAUDIA!!! I'm already beyond obsessed with this series and this is only the first book! I devoured this audiobook so fast. I just couldn't stop listening to it and I was seriously hooked from the beginning. Erin Mallon and Aaron Shedlock were the narrators and let me tell you they were the perfect pair for this story! I love these two narrators and I was so excited when I found out they were reading this book. The story and characters were well written and enjoyable.

    Galeana's fiancé left her on the day of her wedding. So she decided she was still going on her honeymoon by herself. Well she ends up having a forgotten night in Italy and decides to leave. Then she ends up finding out she has an inheritance but in order to receive it she has to be married.

    Ledger is in Birchwood trying to help save his families struggling logging company. When he ends up running into Galeana again little does he know things are about to get very interesting and exciting in his life.

    If you love a good small town romance with spice then this is the book for you. This book will have you laughing, swooning, blushing, smiling like crazy and leaving you wanting more! I just can't wait for the next book in this series. I just loved Galeana and Ledger's story so much and can't wait to see what is to come in the next book. I would HIGHLY recommend this audiobook or book. Claudia Burgoa was new to me last year but has become one of my must read authors now. If she writes it I WILL READ IT!!

    𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐔𝐬 is the first book in the new Timberbridge Brothers series by Claudia Burgoa, featuring a riveting marriage of convenience romance for Galeanna and Ledger, full of feisty banter, gritty emotion, shocking suspense, and slow burn to fiery passion! I had listened to the prequel portion, 𝘐𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘜𝘴, previously and I loved the way Galeanna and Ledger’s connection formed during her honeymoon that wasn’t after she was left at the altar. All of that is included in the full book as well, which introduces us to the Timberbridge brothers and a curious new small town of Birchwood. Aside from the dramatic plot line that affects Gale and Ledger, there’s also and overarching suspense plot that really involves all the Timberbridges and possibly the whole town. This story was everything I’ve come to love from this author and more! I cannot wait to learn more about these mysterious brothers!

    The audio narrated by Erin Mallon and Aaron Shedlock was impeccable, and kept me totally enthralled by the nuances of the story and the layers of the characters. Erin Mallon has long been a favorite narrator of mine, and while Aaron Shedlock was new to me, he was fantastic, and I look forward more from him.

    What an amazing start to this new series from Ms. Burgoa. The Timberbridge brothers are a dysfunctional family that have very little that binds them together, except a name. Ledger Timberbridge is losing it all. His career is in tatters and he feels like his life is adrift, and so when he heads to Italy for a wedding, and the hotel messes up his reservation, he meets Galeana Monroe, the jilted bride who's honeymooning alone. But without a name or number, when Galeana disappears the next morning, Ledger never stops thinking about the woman he spent a night with playing Truth or Dare. Eighteen months later, after inheriting her families maple syrup business she discovers that in order to fully inherit the business, she must be married and that is where Ledger comes in.

    This is a beautifully written book, with a twist of suspense and lots of heat! This is going to be a great series and I am very excited.
