Healthee raises $50M to automate the mess of U.S. health benefits

Built in Israel, designed for America’s fractured system, the platform now serves 15,000+ customers.

In an industry long criticized for being opaque, fragmented, and exhausting to navigate, one startup is betting that the key to health care reform lies not in new legislation—but in software that actually understands how the system works.
Healthee, a digital health startup that simplifies the way employees interact with their benefits and healthcare plans, has raised $50 million, $30 million in a Series B funding round and $20 million in credit. The Series B was led by Key1 Capital, with participation from existing backers Fin Capital, Glilot Capital Partners, Group11, and strategic partner TriNet. The credit was provided by Comerica.

The Israeli startup specializes in improving healthcare results and cutting costs for both employers and workers. Healthee's platform offers individualized, immediate, and straightforward responses to inquiries about coverage, treatment, and benefits, as well as complete assistance throughout the Open Enrollment process, and personalized recommendations for preventative care.
The company will use the funding to expand its office in Israel and recruit new employees, primarily in development roles. Healthee currently employs 90 people: 30 in Israel, 10 developers in Georgia, 5 in Argentina, and another 40 in the United States.
"We experienced 10x growth last year. We now have half a million users and plan to expand our product portfolio. There's a huge market here that we want to succeed in," said Guy Benjamin, CEO of Healthee, who founded the company with Elad Ofir and Ben Nagar. "Most Americans have no idea how to navigate health insurance. While many solutions focus on just one aspect, we offer a one-stop shop that addresses all their needs—unlike other companies, which are primarily call centers."
For most U.S. workers, choosing a health plan—or even understanding it—can feel like assembling IKEA furniture without instructions. Options are bewildering, jargon is endless, and the stakes are often high. Healthee has built a platform that helps employees make smarter health decisions by combining real-time data access, AI-powered recommendations, and a user-friendly interface designed for the workplace.
Its clients range from small businesses to large employers, who use Healthee to reduce healthcare-related confusion and boost employee engagement. The platform is designed to work not just for workers, but also for HR teams, insurance brokers, and benefits administrators who have traditionally served as translators of an ever-shifting landscape of plans, policies, and out-of-pocket rules.
The platform currently serves over 15,000 customers, according to the company, and has seen what insiders describe as a “surge in utilization” amid growing demand for cost transparency and automation in benefits management.
