InfinitForm and its AI-powered design optimisation platform for manufacturable performance-optimised CAD models has closed its recent $12.7M Seed Round, with a list of interesting investors.
The expansion was led by UP.Partners, with participation from Schematic Ventures, Counterpart Ventures, Yamaha Motor Ventures, and former Autodesk CEO Carl Bass.
The funding will be used to expand InfinitForm’s engineering and go-to-market teams, further develop its AI-powered design assistant, and support the company’s growing roster of customers across aerospace & defense, automotive, and industrial sectors.
“Traditional CAD and generative design tools fall short when it comes to real-world manufacturability,” said InfinitForm CEO Michael Bogomolny. “Our platform is built from the ground up to empower engineers to move from concept to production-ready geometry faster than ever before. This investment enables us to scale our team, accelerate product development, and bring powerful generative design tools into the hands of every engineer.
“We are thrilled to work with UP.Partners. They recognised the opportunity right away which led to a larger seed round that will allow us to scale faster and move quickly to meet customer demand.”
“InfinitForm is redefining the earliest and most consequential stages of the engineering process — where ideas become manufacturable realities.,” said Adam Grosser, Chairman and Managing Partner at UP.Partners. “With their deep domain expertise and bold approach for how AI can reshape mechanical engineering, this team is poised to dramatically accelerate how products are designed and delivered to market.”
Founded by Bogomolny, previously co-founder & CTO of ParaMatters (acquired by Carbon), he is joined by Adam Smith, former strategic partnerships lead at Autodesk and MaintainX.
InfinitForm launched its initial software offering in May 2024, taking advantage of GPU processing power, promising to transform the design for manufacturing process with highly optimised designs capable of being CNC machined at speed and with efficiency.
