Operand, a San Francisco, CA-based AI-enabled consulting company for consumer retail, raised $3.1M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Felicis, with participation from Y Combinator, SV Angel, Soma Capital, and angels including Ali Rowghani, former CFO of Twitter.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Led by Ram Gorthi (CEO), Arjun Sahney (CTO), and Akhil Iyengar (COO), Operand is building AI agents to replace traditional management consulting, starting with pricing strategy for consumer retail brands. By combining reasoning traces with real-time data integration, it delivers insights typically reserved for Fortune 500 companies.
Customers include Lighthouse Marine Supply.
