Expecting NATO, and naturally by extension it’s “handler” the US, to come clean and push for deescallation is a fools errand. Not that one shouldn’t wish for it to be so but history has shown again and again that The Empire of Lies does not, like Sauron, share power nor does it ever admit defeat.

The US is only now beginning to pay for 250 years of hubris. Such an unnecessary nation is entirely unconscious of its purely negative relevance to the world. But the world is not unconscious. It remembers now how the American wisecrack of “having no friends, only interests” has been inflicted upon them and as former, mere ‘interests’ the world knows that it owes Americans less than nothing.

Penetrating analysis of present hopeless position of Ukraine with respect to dependence upon the West.
I would add that the short-sightedness of Western Politicians and Intelligence, wielding carrot and Stick upon Ukraine at time of peace negotiations so as to scupper them, was due to their overriding blinding motivation – a wish to inflict painful damage to Russia as a matter of prime policy.
Let’s call the motivation ‘Russia-hating’ for no good reason other than being in service to the agenda of a Globalist economic hegemony which stands quite apart from even one single nation’s interests anywhere in the world.

There are interesting subtleties to your last sentence. Do raytheon and general dynamics “stand apart” from U.S. interests? Do british petroleum and bae “stand apart” from U.K. interests? How many pension funds are invested in these ‘multinational’ corporations?

As Alexander Solzhenitsyn said: “Words don’t lie.” Well-spotted. Perhaps rhetoric got the better of the poster.
